Mark Hughes' appointment hasnt won us any friends amongst the football world most of which already had a major downer on us. Many are mocking and asking who the other 2 teams to get relegated next year will be. Hughes himself clearly is a wounded man anxious to rebuild his reputation. Surely now is the time for everyone to stand shoulder to shoulder again - back the club against all those who would put us down , stop being disrespectful to TP who achieved so much for us, and be positive about what Mark Hughes has the potential to achieve in the future.
.....our club motto really is quite a good one !

If other teams fans read some of the shit posted around here they would piss themselves at how much infighting there is in our fans.I don't think many teams are bothered who manages who outside of the top 5 teams.

There's a comment on the Sky Sports Hughes story by a fan of another club saying, "awful manager, awful club" and it has 45 likes.
We're the new Millwall. No-one likes us, we don't care.

I don't think it would have mattered who was manager, its going to take a few years to shake off that image, not that I give a shit mind you.

It's because there's a lot to be jealous of. No debt, rich local owners, official loudest atmosphere (this really riles fans).

So a load of plastic arm chair fans from Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal like a comment on a website and everything falls apart?
I do despair at some Stoke fans.

I'd rather not go quietly into the night but show those wankers we're here to ruffle a few feathers for a good while longer. At least everyone knows who we are!

That's not true though, is it? I don't care but loads do, we've had one thread by someone who's annoyed with how were perceived by the media, so precious.

I quite like that. The more noses we get up, the better. I think Hughes can, possibly, bring us the best of both worlds - harnessing that underdog spirit, whilst scoring a few goals and playing better football.

He's now our Manager so let's get behind him. We should look forward not back and leave the past in the past not keep discussing how bad or good Pulis was.
No one knows what will happen but we all want it to be successful. I'm just waiting to see what he does in pre season.

The BBC and The Guardian sites' coment boards are the worst for anti-Stokeness. One on the BBC yesterday said "when will this vile and violent team be kicked out of the football league?".
I beg to differ, Oh Asian-based Arsenal follower:
Violent = no worse than most other teams, once you remove the media bias. Vile = Chelsea & Man City (no class)? Liverpool (racist)? Man Utd (greedy and ruthless)? Newcastle (deluded)? Seems to me we're nowhere near as bad as any of these. Plus, we're considerably better run than most other clubs. One day, some of these jokers will actually go to a real football match instead of reaching for the tissues as they jizz all over their armchairs at Arsenal's latest square pass across the back.

All Im saying is that with the combination of Mark Hughes and our club we really have the potential to piss off the rest of the Premier League again ......and I find that rather appealing !

Hear, hear.Who wants to be liked by these people? These are our opponents. Our footballing enemies , not a disinterested bunch of onlookers. We should want to be hated; or even better dreaded. Look for love elsewhere.
