Cynically, I reckon he'll either sign a left back or a striker first off..... it's a PR game I don't care whether it's for PR reasons.....go get Nathaniel Clyne....I've been rabbiting on about him for 18 months.....

As if Richards would come here, and it was Stuart Pearce who got him in to the first team.
Do you think we can spend 15mil+ on a right back? We're not Chelsea.

Brilliant player but no chance. He wont leave Southampton and they wont sell. We should of gone for him a long time ago. Serious potential there, ran us ragged down the right at St Marys.

We wouldn't sign any player and play him £100k per week. Coates simply would not authorise the payments. I doubt if any English club would pay Samba that sort of money. He's going to have to drop his wage demands or QPR will have to pay up a big slice of his contract or subsidise his wages at a new club. Otherwise he'll have to carry on drawing his £100k in the Championship or move back abroad.

Infact, wijnaldum was a regular signing of mine on the old championship manager 2003 when he was a youth player. And yes, those names are very out of the blue, because theres no reason at all why they will sign for Stoke, other than because you've plucked them out of the blue. Thats why I put similar out of the blue names up in my response. Do you think id know who Mbokani and Konoplyanka were if i didnt know who Wijnaldum and Gamiero were? I was getting at the fact that you've just plucked two names from Europe who are quite good and said 'you'll be happy' with them as if they were likely to sign. You could have out another hundred names or more there that would have had just as much relevance. Tard.

Gareth Barry? - Well that'll torpedo the 'sustainable model', although he is a tidy player but we'll be lucky to get 2 seasons out of him. Crazy as it sounds, I'd like Wilson and GCam to be given some more midfield time...

This is what I can see happening. The Hoilett deal, Beggo to Liverpool in exchange for Downing plus cash. That will be our two wingers sorted. Barry bought in to strengthen mid field. Maybe the first two, but Barry - hasn't Coates said no more older players on massive salaries?

Downing has had a decent season, can't see him leaving. They paid £20m for him so won't be writing him off in a swap deal, that's for sure.

Ofcourse you signed him Cheif Fair enough got the year wrong, just knew it was ancient but always signed him as a 15 year old, as well as a youth called Verkoelen and a youth called Jorda who was on the game as a 13 year old if I remember rightly. Maybe someone else can verify which year that was. Either way it doesn't matter, the original point that you didn't get what I was saying still stands. Is be happy if we signed Arda Turan and Andriy Yarmolenko. Will it happen? No. Just like we won't sign Gamiero or Wijnaldum P.s. Wijnaldum is in my Everton side on the current FM.

We must have a chance of finally getting Olsson from Blackburn.
He's not going to hang about for another Championship season, and Hughes apparently gave him his Blackburn debut as a 19-year-old.
That is, of course, unless there are other left-sided options in Cartwright's bulging continental dossier!

Crazy as it sounds, I'd like Wilson and GCam to be given some more midfield time... Barry would be excellent if we play 3 centre mids. Reliable, keeps the ball, good passer, composed, can tackle, good set pieces and is a leader - just what we need in the middle of the park. Not every signing has to be a kid and we need more leaders on the pitch.

My initial reaction to this post was..."well, I can't see us playing him at left back, but maybe on the wing"...and the. I remembered that TP is no longer manager. It's a brave new world, and will take some getting used to! Natural width at full back, and overlapping runs are no long something we harp on about all summer, and then set aside until the next transfer window. I'd be happy with Olsson, and I can't see that he'd be too expensive. Still only 25, so a good age too. Would add some much needed pace.

Does any one else think that Peter Coates sacked Pulis based on the potential of new players Sparky could bring?

Leslie wanted rid of Micah so I don't imagine he'd be keen on heading to the Britannia, or that he'd try and sign him. Also to the poster who said he's been frozen out you are wrong I'm afraid, just injured almost all season.

Former West Ham United, Fulham and Leicester City defender John Paintsil is hoping to secure a return to England this summer. The Ghana international spent the 2012/13 campaign in Israel taking in a second spell with Hapoel Tel Aviv. Could be a Hughes signing? remember how he cheat against us at the Brit
