Do you think that Mark Hughes will keep these two on the books..?
Both pretty ineffective infront of goal. Lowest scoring team almost every year.
Not good enough.

Hardly the strikers' fault we were the lowest scoring team though.

I think he will try and ship Crouch out but who's going to pay what the club will want for him and who will want to pay a 32 year old the wages he is currently on here.

Interesting - much like the rest of the decisions he's got to make.
I can see him wanting to get rid of the pair of them - but there's so much other work needed, the thought of bringing in 2 more strikers on top of all that is daunting.
He'll maybe have to make a decision on Jones early on as he's entering the final year of his deal.

Wouldn't lose a wink of sleep if he moved all of them on, we are so pedestrian and lacking in quality up front it's frightening.

He'll probably bring the QPR team in. In which case we are royally fucked.
Fucking Hughes. Still fucking seething about his imminent appointment.

KJ only has 1 year left on his contract and will not sign a new one so he will be off this window.

He needs to offload quite a few of our regular 'big wage earners' if we are to weed out the wheat from the chaff. A big task for any manager.

As manager, I'd absolutely give Jones a season to see if he's worth it. I'd be finding a buyer for Crouch asap.

I would like to see Jones to stay one more season to prove his worth. However, i believe Crouch is way past his best and should go but who is going to pay wages and keep the wife happy?

Got to keep Crouch, awesome player and his hold up play will prove vital next season under Sparky.

In truth, whatever my view, if Hughes goes for pace above height then Jones(contract issues withstanding)would appear to get the nod over Crouch. If Hoillet comes in exchange, then we would have pace in him plus KJ and Jerome. I've always thought Jerome was under-rated and under-used. So, the attack would have a totally different look? Remember, N'Zonzi is no slouch so the team would feel far more pacy. It wouldn't take much to make this team look as if it can hurt the opposition.

Let's be clear Crouch surrounded with pace is a different proposition. He's scored goals at the highest level when surrounded with pace from the flanks and intelligent players. The right additions and he's back in the game.

Jones will need to sign a year's extension at least or we risk losing him for nowt next season which, given what we paid for him, can't happen. If Jones goes and we do a deal with QPR for Crouch (quite likely I reckon) then Hughes, as an ex-striker himself, has an even bigger job to do. For that reason alone I guess we're stuck with Walters and Jerome as back up. Of the two I think Crouch is the most likely to stay though. A blind man can see where we need strengthening so I trust Hughes not to ignore what's in front of him. It'll be interesting to see who we sign first.

I would keep Crouch and sell Jones.
Crouch would be immense in a MH setup
