14 of us rocking up at around midday, are people heading to the town or the marina? Never been before but with 2,500 - 3,000 stokies going down it will be a great day and great pre match atmosphere if we can get to a good boozer. We are all in fancy dress too, Hahahaha.
Can't wait.

The Staff of Life on Hill Street in Stoke has become an increasingly popular pub for Stokies on away match days!

The marina is excellent and about a 15 min walk to stadium but it will be rammed
The city centre is about a 20 minute walk to stadium and is a better option.
Me.....i,m not going as i,ve spent a fortune on being bored shitless away from home this season

Mind you this is your timing Mick! If you have any class you will drink at the Grand Harbour. Stayed there along with the Indian cricket team when I went down for the Twenty Twenty game last summer.

Theres a place called Ocean Village literally 5 minutes walk away from the stadium. On the corner opposite the entrance to there is a pub called the "Admiral Lucius Curtis" which is a Weatherspoons, you cant go wrong really although theres a chance it could be rammed.
Other than that there's the Standing Order just up from the marina, which is also a Weatherspoons.

Alot of decent pubs in the town and only a 15/20 minute walk to the ground. Also anyone who's in the car and looking for somewhere to park we've always parked outside the Grand Harbour hotel opposite The Holiday Inn and never had a problem and a 5 minute walk to the town[if that] and a quicker getaway after imo.To get to this just head for the docks and you'll see the 2 big hotels with loads of parking in the pay and display car park. Also we ate in a good curry house at night owned by the ex Saints player Francis Benali and very nice it was too. Just thought Hogs head is the name of the pub alot of Stokies drank in last time we were there in the town.

Standing Order is a lot bigger so better chance of getting served in there plus its in the bottom area of Southampton where you will find more boozers around the area.

Wrong DS62, the standing order has no pubs near it although it is a big (an old bank)and is miles bigger than Admiral Lucius Curtis. More pubs at the top end of town (above bar) Yeates, Square balloon, and about 3 or 4 other big pubs. There are also a few pubs in St Marys Street.

Well there used too be mate, unless ive accidently counted the bars. I live in Southampton so know quite a few pubs. You have a point though about top end as its literally a 5 min walk to stadium. Yates or Varsity are pretty good

I used to live in Soton until a couple of years ago, go for the top of town - more choices and an easy walk to the ground.

DS82, I live in Sholing and as we have said there is more choice above bar but I think the standing order is the better pub. Me, I will either be in the order or the royal oak, depends where the boys from work want to go.
