Despite losing, I was so proud. I couldn't help but feel proud. Even coming away, I was sad, but I wasn't completely distraught, I'd just watched our boys in an FA cup final. A real proud day for Stoke City. Who knows, maybe we'll be there again in a few years?

Bloody hell seems like yesterday.
I never really got the FA cup growing up didn't really understand the magic of the cup but after the final I understood what the FA cup was all about.
I'll never be able to hate TP like some do on here purely because he's given me the best possible memory ever, and I will always be grateful.

My personal 'best memory ever' took place a few weeks before when we annihilated Bolton in the semi. Best mentals I've ever had. Never performed in the final due to injuries to key players and the occasion itself.

Both of those occasions were special to me. I pinch myself when I think about the Bolton game.

Despite the disappointing ending I still have brilliant memories of the day. 40 years after the horrible semis defeats we actually played in a cup final, I was soooo proud.
(Poor Mankini by the way, sacked on the 1st anniversary of winning the title and the 2nd anniversary of winning the cup)
