The Bolton semi final is obviously up there but my best memory is watching Stoke beat Bristol City at Wembley in 2000 in the AWS (some obscure lower league cup final for the younger fans!). It was one of those days that I'll always remember, better than the FA Cup final two years ago. A full Wembley watching two third tier football clubs!! A strange selection considering I've been watching Stoke since the early to mid 70's!

Hard to say really. Our first trip to Wembley(for me anyway)in the auto glass trophy in 92 has to be right up there. The relegation party at Brighton was a day i'll never forget also, thousands of Stokies descending onto Brighton in the sunshine and getting pissed on the beach, then the massive game of football between the fans on the Goldstone ground pitch after! The FA cup final should be the best memory but for me it isn't,I don't know why but I suppose I just don't love the game as much a I used to?????

Had loads over the years. Some great away days, my first real memories of a game beating west ham 5-2 at the vic, the villa 3-2, west brom away 92/93, leeds 6-2/7-2, trips to the old wembley etc but bolton in the semi was just the fucking don. Amazing day and night. That day was like a gift. You support your team through thick and thin throughout your life and occasionally you get rewarded for the pain Stoke were massive that day.

Lots to remember but one I know will stick out for a long time is watching us win away in Europe.
Tel Aviv was an immense two days. Absolutely pissing it down and Cowhead netted.

First trip to Wembley - absolutely unforgettable!
The whole two legs of the Manure League cup game were unbelieveable, sadly the game at Old Trafford we couldn't just hang on, but this game stands out as one of my best memories!
We went to OT and gave them a real scare which given there dominance at that time it was unreal! I remember it mainly as the dirty bastard Hughes gave Overson an absolute nightmare kicking him black and blue in the process. The atmosphere we made was fantastic non stop singing (I think we took near 10k) made even better being in the weird last remaining terrace area down at the front of the stand.

I gave mine the other day, Real Madrid match for our centenary and Stan's return match. Also 4th March 1972. I've been spoiled! Agreed - they take some beating. The 5-0 vs Arsenal and two 3-2 results vs Leeds also stand out for me. The promotion game at Notts Co was something else. Plenty of great memories.

In 1962 when we drew at Sunderland and beat them at The Vic over three days at Easter that was great as well because I knew then we were in the driving seat for promotion to Div 1.

When we beat Luton Town in the last home match of the 1962/63 season to gain promotion to the first division, with our stan getting the second goal will take some beating along with the Arsenal and Leeds games, so many to think about since my father took me to my first game in 1949.

Too many to list, but the 4-3 home win against WBA, season 1992-93 when Ian Cranson scored the winner at the Boothen End stands out. What a game !

I've been watching Stoke since 1965 and I've had so many great times (and probably the same number of shit ones too!) The best memories are:
March 4 1972 - I made a note in a diary for that day, it simply reads "The happiest day of my life." (The birth of my son has since knocked it into the second most happiest day).
The Bolton semi-final, so emphatic and so significant.
The FA Cup Final - my proudest moment as a Stoke fan, an occassion I never thought I'd witness.
Steino's goal v Vale at Vale in the promotion season.
The shittiest are:
Arsenal equaliser at Hillsborough
The Arsenal off-side goal at Goodison Park
Relegation at the Villa in 76/77
The sale of Jimmy Greenhoff to the Shit.

Farting in the Boothen. After a Friday night on lager and a curry, while there was an easterly wind blowing, to see the look of disgust on people's faces to my left and probably 5 to 10 meters on was priceless....the drive home wasn't so good.... My vehicle still stinks of it 2 years on.

1 - 0 v Blackburn in the first season back in the top flight.
First Stoke game I took my son to; almost 35 years to the day since my first game. Alo my first direct experience of the Brit atmosphere being generated that special season. I wondered him much of it was hype; but it was real. Amazing stuff.
Will never forget it; nor will my boy.

The trip to Valencia was something special All of the others are up there plus a game v Leeds Utd that we had to win to stay up. I think we won 3-2 and it meant that Leeds didn't win the league that year As for the semis v Arsenal in the 70's gutted

We also beat them 3-2 in the game that prevented Leeds from breaking the record for the longest unbeaten run from the start of a season. We'd been 2-0 down but came back to win 3-2 with Denis Smith scoring the winner in front of the Boothen End. Happy, happy days!

Beating Arsenal 5-0. I can remember the occasion and Conroy's goal, but not really the other goals. Everytime Stoke attacked the crowd were expecting another goal.It was one of those weird, totally unexpected results. Sadly Arsenal were to have their revenge a few seasons later.

Stan's testimonial game against a rest of the World side. Big John Ritchie slotting in a goal against Leeds at the start of the 74-5 season; Jimmy Greenhoff scoring against Man City in an FA Cup tie against at the Vic yep the two AWS finals that someone has mentioned (including the one in 2000 where they played Abide with Me for Stan- the only time that it has been played at Wembley outside the Cup Final, beating Plymouth to get promoted from Division 3, drawing with Leicester to get promoted to the Prem and yes of course the FA semi final against Bolton.
