I don't think there is one manager that would make everyone happy on here. Fergie would be too old Mourinho a stepping stone Poyet as above Lennon - drunk Howe - too young Bottom line is, if you don't want a manager that may come here, do well, then get pinched, keep with Tone is your answer. You can't have it all ways Benitez?

Some say Benitez would use us as a stepping stone or:
He's too fat Language barrier Rotates too much
There will aways be something wrong with whoever is manager

Apparently Sky Italia have said Napoli have contacted Rafa, so that's 1 down.

I actually like Eddie Howe clearly a very intelligent man just a shame he's not a big enough name to attract the big names. Would love him as a number 2 under someone older who could bring him on.

I was expecting Brighton to win a 2 legged semi against an out of form Palace without their top scorer. He couldn't manage it and was taught a lesson by Holloway whose team produced a classic away performance. Its hardly a ringing endorsement of his ability is it? Not sure he gets my vote

I would also pass opinion on his managerial ability by taking into account one game and ignoring his previous 4 years. Alex Ferguson is also a shit manager because he lost at home to Man City once.

He said the players couldn't handle the tension at home in the second leg. You can only do so much. If that one on one with the palace keeper had sneeked under the bar instead of hitting it just before palace scored 1st would he then have been a super manager?
Fine lines

I think that is what we are going to get. He can travel to Stoke with our manager who lives just down the road in Sandbanks.

This is where it all gets vaguely surreal. We are all supposed to hyperventilate at the prospect of a manager who has failed to get promotion replacing one who has achieved it!
Truth be told we havent as supporters got the imagination to look anywhere other than the most obvious of names (Poyet, Di Matteo etc etc etc) -hopefully if the situation does arise that we need someone the people who run the club may have a bit more inspiration.

His attitude seems poor, he may have great ability, from that interview then there was no passion, fight or anything! May be he was commenting with one opportunity just lost and one about to firm up.

I want a manager with desire, whether it be for his own personal gain or not, I want a manager thats gonna get into that teams head and make them perform to the best of their ability week in week out. I think the squad we have has underachieved this season and thats why I wish TP well but he has to go.

Strange how Man Utd have appointed a manager who's never taken a team to a Champions League quarter-final.

Upson may be influential in steering Poyet away from Stoke! IF there is a vacancy.
Personally I would prefer Holloway of the 2 of them - he's bought a trophy and presented it to Zaha in case he didn't win one this season!
Both Wenger, Ferguson ... promoting the value of stability regarding managers
A pity that our last league game is an away one if TP is on the move imo.
Once the managerial merry go round begins I just hope that if we are in it, we are not forced to pick up the scraps!

I think that Upson may have some insight into any unrest at the club and Poyet may not want to take on board some of the characters involved.

Another week and we will all know. Its a bit like the transfer window you can say what you like the deals will not get done until the club are ready - usually last 30 minutes. All the tabloids exist on speculation whether in Sport or news in general and especially politics.

I think that Upson may have some insight into any unrest at the club and Poyet may not want to take on board some of the characters involved. Any unrest at the moment seems to stem from the managements relationship with the players. If Poyet comes in that means the current manager will be gone. As for bad apples, Pennant is out of contract
