How bizarre that a seemingly intelligent person should come out with this tripe! Not just say it but put her name to it in a written article. What about the victims in all this?

controversial but ignore the sensational headline but the fall out from yew tree and saville is that these rules will have to be looked at.
you have countless people with underage convictions who ended up being married to the victim for 30 years but the rules said a 17 and a 15 year old together was wrong.
i dont know the answers but a lot of these laws and rules are old and were set in a different time. and should be looked at to deem if they are still fit for purpose. or need updating to reflect modern society.
THERE HOWEVER SHOULD BE NO DOWNGRADING OF ABUSE LAWS OR LET OFFS FOR THOSE CONVICTED THOUGH

Is that because she has been with boys under 16 herself?
Her career as a Barrister should be over as of now.
