Watched the game down the pub, but just got home and put it on again (we'd taped it) to see what the commentators had to say - I'm in Canada so it's Ian Darke and Steve McManaman. They were talking about how we were unhappy despite being a solid Prem. team for several years and I was surprised to hear they understood exactly where us fans were coming from. It made a very refreshing change that they understood that we're not some sort of ungrateful upstarts, we just want a bit more entertainment. Fair play to them.

Fair enough if you agree with what they were saying but Steve McManaman is abysmal as an actual match commentator. His commentary basically consists of a series of sighs, grunts and groans. (Or maybe that's just when he's watching us )

(Or maybe that's just when he's watching us ) Maybe that's why I enjoyed it - he echoed me while I was watching it (only with a lot less swearing)!

Had the same commentary, both spoke a lot of sense I agree.
