Is that a score prediction?

Wasn't Makrillos highly rated in Austalia or have I imagined that?

Waring, who scored the first, only seems to have been released by Everton last week. Top scorer for their U-18 team. Way over 6 foot. Dunno what we see in him?

Leftback Shenton looks decent player.

You know its bad when the U-18s would be able to pass the first team off the pitch.

Pisser our third goal was proper Pulisball. A hoof from our 18 yard box, straight to the centre forward, a couple of touches , goal

Got to say the future looks good with this academy team, that Waring lad looks a monster of a player for his age as does that left back Shenton

It won't look good if Pulis is still here. You'll never see any of them playing for the first team with that bloke in charge

I've enjoyed what I've seen.
4-0 flatters us, but we've got some promising players and it's nice to see a Stoke team with a more varied plan of attack than 40-yard pings up to the front man

We beat Liverpool 4-0 at there place as well if I remember rightly 4 - 1 - but that is splitting hairs very impressed with them tonight - great mixture of pass and move and power plays Eve looks like an excellent goalkeeper

I went and thoroughly enjoyed it! We mixed it up well and I witnessed more 1-2's in that game between our players than the first team all season!
The formation was more of 3-2-3-2 and the way the players played it was the most impressive thing. There was no doubt it left us exposed in areas but they worked their arses to cover the spaces and eventually to stifle the Liverpool attacks. It was a hard ask of the two wider centre backs and the wingers but they stuck to the formation fantastically.
The right centre half impressed me the most, that was Watkins-Clark. But I think they all played well.

Yeah - I thought we looked to have a nice blend, Bayern. Mixed it up quite well. Liverpool were the more pass-happy of the teams, but we were certainly no cloggers and hoofers.
I was a bit surprised to see we were near the bottom of the league.
Barrington looked to have quite a bit about him for a 17-year-old, as did Waring as a big, old-fashioned striker.
But they all had their moments on the ball and were surprisingly tidy in possession in times.

Liverpool over passed it for my liking, much like their first team. It was passing for passing's sake. Our passing was more incisive and just better I thought. And yeah they looked good in possession and equally at home chasing lost causes and competing for long balls, it had a bit of everything.
Both of the lads up front did well and I'd say that the pair of them are the only two who had an advantage in size over Liverpool and they used it well. Both held it up, flicked it on and played others in. From a side of what are essentially still kids I thought it was a mature performance.

Excellent all over the park. Competitive and knocked it around. The keeper was excellent(Eve) and Sanders the lad from Pompey at centre half was calm and assured and the lad with the double barrelled name(Watkins Clark) got stuck in. Looks good.

But I think they all played well. only yesterday he was named in the Irish u18 squad The FAI website lists him as a Stoke player too so I guess he's signed permanently from Villa. The coach also talks about Ryan O'Reilly who I presume is injured because he hasn't played for us in ages. He's excellent from when I've seen him too. Yesterday actually we had our first choice centre half pairing missing (Coulson and O'Reilly).
