Was that Nzonzis first shot at Goal for 2013 yesterday, cant remember many more times when he has had a dig since Christmas, come think of it I can not remeber any shots before Christmas although there has to be some surely..

He had that shot against west ham that hit the bar.

I reckon it's a product of the new and belated tactic of playing a mobile front three (i.e. an intelligent Crouch playing off a faster Walters and Jerome) which brings the midfield higher up the field in support. In the more negative cage that has restricted Nzonzi before, he wasn't near enough to goal to have a crack.

Forced a good save from Cech against Chelsea. Always get the impression our midfielders are told not to shoot but to play it out wide so in can be crossed

I don't know if anyone else saw it the way I did but when Nzonzi had one effort in the second half (the one he blazed wide, not the one on target that Crouch was offside from), Pulis was screaming at him to get back down the pitch Is this why Nzonzi is now frustrating the hell out of our fans by always playing the safe option, square or backwards, instead of using the talent we all thought he had to go forward and cut through the oppositions defence.

He's got a decent shot on him, why we don't see it more often though is up for debate.

His inambition frustrates me. I don't mind us having a player who can keep possession, but I wish that he'd dwell on the ball a little less long before passing it three yards backwards.

He's got a really powerful shot in him, wish he'd used it more. It creates chances when it bounces off the keeper/goal.

Pulis will probably consider dropping him for not staying near the halfway and having a shot. N Zonzi is clearly a very very talented player who I think would be excellent as an attacking midfielder but as we all know, we won't see this until that clown fucks off!

I think hes been a bit disappointing. Nowt do with Pulis I think he makes rash decisions and needs to take more responsibility

Nzonzi reminds me in glimpses of Yaya Toure

Zonz-en-stein (new nicknane) or borg-zonz (cos of the mask) will only show us how good he really is when pulis goes and an attacking manager comes in.... Cant wait!!

I'm not sure thats the case, hes been in a few good chances to have a shot and decided to pass it rather than shoot for some reason, I don't think its the manager either, other have a shot if they get a chance in a good area.

The way Pulis micro manages the team would suggest otherwise. Im convinced the midfielders are told to play it to the wings aka Walters. We needed more goals from mid, pulis said it himself but i get the strong impression he doesnt let them, hench the term 'the cage'

Adam's willingness to "break out of the cage" ( cue thrown water bottles by the capped scruff) seems to be encouraging N'Zonzi to play with more drive and freedom.

If he had yes, but Pulis doesnt let them get far enough forward, im not having a go at Whelan, its a lack of attacking tactics and the utter resignation to a 1-0 win with the introduction of whitehead that is hampering their chances of contributing. This is why Crouch is often so so isolated too.

I'd like to know why Adam passed to Crouch(yes THAT miss) rather than Jerome who was asking for the ball and completely unmarked. I can just see Tone now 'get the ball to Peter'.
