Let's hope to goodness that it's just another example of lazy journalism with no truth in it whatsoever

If that's true we might aswell stick.
I did warn you all on what to expect with Coates' record with managers.

<<shudders>> I see precious little point in swapping Tone for the Irish version of Tone. Perhaps Tone will move upstairs and we can have both?

He'd be towards the back of my list.
6 years older than TP, plays an equally functional game and is obsessed with top dollar domestic transfers.

Is this a little bit of psychology from the Club to get the fans back on side to keep Pulis ? Better the devil you know and all that ?

I'm an O'NHW even before he's signed.

Well remember what he did with Aston Villa. Sunderland isn't an easy club to manage. To many arse holes interfering with what says and goes. Could be interesting.

MON has no cage though, and can use attacking midfielders. Not my favourite manager by any means, but I could live with that, rather than stick with TP.

Needs John Robertson along side him to be a success. If he could persuade him to get back into football then fine, if not no thanks.

He walked away when O'Neil went to Sunderland, saying he was disillusioned with the modern day footballer. Can't say I blame him one bit.
