Steve Mclaren, well at least we got there. That will be the same Steve Mclaren who lasted 7 months at Wolfsburg and 7 weeks at Nottingham Forest. Oh and his most recent tenure back at Twente lasted between 5th January 2012 and 26th February 2012 before he was heaved out after fans demonstrations about unattractive and negative football. 7 weeks is hardly time to learn your way around the building let alone the team. As can 7 months in a new country be. What are your thoughts on Sven? Sandbanks that was his SECOND spell at Twente. Unless he's got some kind of short term memory disorder I think it's safe to assume he knew his way around the building. Why don't you stop now. Please. You're just making yourself look a bigger buffoon with each new post.

What do you base this on? The Notts County affair, truly shit jobs with Mexico, Ivory Coast and Leicester. He'll take the money anywhere. Shame, in his pomp he was a top manager. Best England manager since Robson. He is by far and away the best candidate for the job imo, his C.V speaks for itself on the whole he has been highly successful everywhere he has been and has a habit of winning things. I'd hardly call his stint at Leicester a shit job they were 2 points off the play-offs when he left in October with loads of games still to go, this is after removing them from relegation trouble. This is the man, I tell thee.

sandbanks,
Carry on posting, you are making the best case for retaining Pulis than anyone else.

sandbanks, Carry on posting, you are making the best case for retaining Pulis than anyone else. At least my case has some credibility, you are advocating keeping Tony Pulis because of well, nothing really. You are a truly foolish person to think Tony Pulis can do a better job than Sven Goran Eriksson at any football club, including this one. I know I'm making sense though when Premier Rimmers run to the rescue, thanks

This is the man, I tell thee. But their spending dwarfed the rest of the division's. He spent £9m on Mills and Beckford alone, neither of who performed. They should have been doing better for that investment. He's just not that up for it anymore. You could make a reasonable case for McClaren though.

The only baffoons on here are the people advocating Pulis stays on as manager. I think most people on here would be happy to see pulis go. Some, like me, would only be happy if the replacement is a decent choice. Pulis could still turn things around in the summer but the football will always remain poor. So far, you've convinced yourself sven is the answer but I can't overlook how shit he's been the last few years

Given our steady regression, are some of us assuming that this won't continue under Pulis? Why exactly? Is he going to experience a Damascene conversion? What do you mean RVD? Tone has explained all that until he is blue in the face, we just need stuff to start dropping for us

I don't agree there RVD, if he wanted to he could retire now no doubt a multi millionaire but the last part of his wiki says he was looking to get back into it as recent as January this year... I f he has lost the desire why is he still attending interviews? This guy is interviewing them imo not the other way around. On 17 November 2012, Norwegian media reported that Eriksson was in talks with Vålerenga Fotball about the possibility of taking over the soon-to-be-available manager job for the Oslo-based club. A meeting between the two parties was held on 21 November in Oslo but no deal was made. In December, negotiations between Eriksson and the Football Federation of Ukraine, who had offered him the position of head coach of Ukraine's national football team, did not bear fruit.[47] On 15 January 2013, it was announced that Eriksson would be joining TSV 1860 München as assistant to Alexander Schmidt.[48] On 18 January 2013, the club however reported, that Eriksson declined the offer to join 1860

If people think Sven is not a Top Quality candidate that far surpasses anything we thought could be possible I begin to wonder what people want & expect, I really do.

Sven??? Good manager or not, we have had sucess due to stablity. How many mangers did we have pre Pulis? Sven was great in his day but WITH top players for the league he was in in. Sven would not do it with us and he woulddn't be here for long either.
Swap managers reguarly at this level and we will get a shite one and then that would mean certain relegation at this level.

Either way, he's done nothing noteworthy for too long. He was a top manager but it is possible to lose it, and he's lost it.
