or it could be the finest ever season in our history under an entirely new manager....... or it could be a completely bog standard season under Pulis...... or it could be an absolutely awful one by Pulis...... or it could be an absolutely awful one under a new manager....... i presume they are allowed as options too aren't they or we going to go back to this "Any other manager will get us relegated" / "Would you rather stay up and keep Pulis or get a different manager and go down" tripe again? ...of course mick. The second bit was just daft. the second part of my post wasn't directed at you just didn't want your post getting jumped on by the usual suspects and then used to turn it one of those "Only two possibilities available" threads

Pulis must stay, we owe him so much. I'm starting this petition. Please stay Tone! Remind me how much he earns a year to deliver the dross seen at games week in week out? He has done well getting us promoted and keeping us up (not with his transfer dealings or tactics mind) but he reached the ceiling of his ability about 18 months ago, bar the very very odd game here and there. It's been pretty much downhill since let's face it. Stoke need to concentrate on survival i.e. particularly Saturdays game which it would be criminal to lose. Then employ a new manager preferably as soon as we're safe or if not at the start of the closed season.

Bexhill: For the record, we owe Pulis nothing. Our money we have put into the club is more than enough and now he's not really paying us back well. Handshake and a pat on the back Tone, but time to get back to Sandbanks me ol' mucka. How did you get that photo of Tone fishing? Coates sent it too me. They like their little weekends away

Just need a bit of time to myself." Coates rolls his eyes as Tone excitedly climbs into the back of his car with a rod and a box of maggots.

erm. Pulis has done wonders keeping us in the PL. His experience is growing. It would be folly to throw it away now

Come on biancorossi, even you are not seriously proposing we replace a man who now has 5 years Premier League experience and an FA Cup Final under his belt with someone who is about to fail to take Brighton out of the Championship despite them being the best supported club in that league? Fail to take Brighton out of the championship? Christ Gods this isnt Nazi Germany...lets just deal with reality and not ridiculous propoganda that makes out TP is somehow a more competent manager than Big Gus. This is a guy who has worked wonders at Brighton. They dont have a right to be on the brink of promotion to the premier league...hes taken them to this position and hes done it by playing some absolutely fantastic (but organised) football. Hes already been linked with the Arsenal job and I think its pretty disrespectful to Gus to suggest he wont be able to hack it at Stoke. So presumably Gods, by your theory, Swansea should never have gone for Laudrup because he had never proved himself in the premier league? Come on Gods you're better than that. Show some ambition and accept that its time to open our mind to new opportunities. Sure there is an element of risk with whoever we bring in..but its time to give it a whirl and try something new. In terms of Big Gus as a manager he fits the bill perfectly. Places emphasis on playing good, quick, passing football while maintaining solidity at the back. Has a fine knowledge of the South American market and appreciates youth. It simply has to be him. Tragically if Brighton get promoted we've got no chance of getting him. I absolutely agree with all of that!

Put my fuckin name down for some of this action! Got a feeling next season will either be our finest under Pulis, or our worst under a new manager! Apart from the expletive, this statement will do for me!

Pulis and 12 players ,excluding the goal keepers, because only one goal keeper can play at any one match , have almost got stoke city another season in the PL. The others, all included in the two sets of named 25 have not played at all , an odd few minutes or out for a chunk of the season due to several reasons. To keep stoke city up with half a squad is unbelievable .

The only thing I find unbelievable is how, even after 5 years in the prem, we still have excuses as to why we play the same players all the time. There's plenty of reasons why we've only played half a squad all right. But none of them good reasons.

We need improvement though, I know that, You know that, Tony knows that. So let's trust Pulis for all the good he has done and get behind him and team. Roll on summer!

Fair enough people have divided opinion on this.
But Im scratching my head as to how some still think Pulis is the man to take us forward.
Waiting for the obvious abuse I will receive for making that remark but honestly, Im confused.

For what Tony has done for our club, I think he should stay in some capacity, if not as manager. I dont think we can do better for our club.

I don't like the idea of Tony staying as a Director of Football or anything like that. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
