What an absolute idiot I can't stand this guy on praise and grumble who the fuck his he? The fans phoning are mentioning Charlie Adam starting games and this fool pipes up " I can't see what he brought to the team when he came on against Villa" Also fans mentioning Pulis' comments on Whelan being the glue that holds the team together, Blakeman " well he gets picked for ireland" , get this divvy off the radio!

Clearly been to the Talksport school of radio presenting, don't listen, don't ring in, ignore it.

I know Lee Personally and his Dad is a Platinum Plus card holder at Stoke and goes to almost every game, I have not heard praise and grumble but can only summise he is stating opinions to get the fans talking.... lets be fair we all have opinions.... and looking at this message board some more crazy (in my opinion!!) than others

I've read several people on here criticise Adam's performance v Villa. To use a well worn cliche, I must have been watching a different game?

I suppose if you wanted to be really tight you could blame him for their wonder 2nd goal, a shot that would have been in row Z 99 times out of a hundred. Charlie is our only midfield playmaker trouble is some don't see it that way which it seems includes the manager.

A midfielder needs to have more to him than a Hollywood ball, I thought he did well when he came on but I can see why he doesn't start.

Radio Stoke in my opinion is now the FM equivalent of the TV test card.
As a regular listener some years ago it has gone downhill and the quality has been progressively declining at speed, noticeably over the past 3-4 years. The breakfast show has been a disaster of epic proportions for many a year and many of the shows so quirky that they flirt between obscure and ridiculous. Also, listening to Paula White's show over the years I have to say with some disappointment that I blatantly refuse to listen as it is that parochial, that unless you are a close relative or lifelong friend the show isn't relevant and as though you are listening to a telephone conversation on a crossed line.
The phone ins on shows from the current affairs, gardening and sports are embarrassing through lack of interaction, quite often forced to leave callers on who would usually grace the air for 20 seconds due to lack of a point or lack of intelligence being allowed 4-5 minutes embarrassing themselves and the station as nobody else is in the queue to come on air and salvage the shred of dignity that has long been lost by the presenters.
In short you have presenters who would not be there if it was a few years ago and you can very much tell that funding cuts from BBC have turned it into a wounded animal with make-shift shows and make-do presenting staff. The presenters on that station going back 10 years ago were like minor celebrities in the area, now, sad to say, they are just minor.
If you are going to try and provoke a reaction you need to have the intelligence and wherewithal to do that and keep the show relevant & entertaining, but Praise & Grumble hasn't got that anymore and hasn't had that for a long time. That show, is indicative of the rest of the station, it's like a crocodile with ill-fitting second-hand dentures... hasn't really got the teeth or the bite or the sharpness anymore

He took over from Rob Adcock on a friday night on BBC stoke for a while i think. Me and my band have met him a couple of times. He seems an alright enough guy but whenever ive heard his commentary its not been too great. I always though he was a vale fan

That Whelan comment is ridiculous. One game without him and its proof that he holds the team together, just like he has done so brilliantly over the last two seasons
