Obviously TP wasn't joking when he said we were in the bottom few payers in the division if the likes of Watford(at least as unglamorous as us) can outmuscle us for a Midlands-based player that we seemingly really wanted?.
A genuine right winger too!.
Now he's proved (at least partially) his transfer market acumen, maybe the board will authorise a little more outlay, in exchange (hopefully) for a slightly more guaranteed return in the table?.

Posted the other week about a Watford fan I had spoken with who had recently joined the board. He said the wages they were paying were astronomical compared to others.

Dude, I know they had a fans share issue but their crowds are similar to ours - how do they afford the wages - do they have a sugar daddy on the board?

Not sure PP...I do believe the chap in question is coming tomorrow so will ask him quite what has gone on.
He said the wage figures were crippling the club so don't be surprised if they were to go down to see some big earners on their way out.
Baffles me how clubs can get in so much strife. Apparently they relied on a quick return to the Prem which mis-fired seriously.

There sugar daddy is Elton John who still makes donations to the club, he donated his loyalties from Sky to the club.
