Why is relegation viewed as such a major problem? Most of us have watched Stoke in divisions two ,three and even getting beaten by Vale!!The good points are there are no unbeatable teams in the championship, we will have a new manager, all our players will be on sensible wages(the big earners will be fucked off!!)The league is midland orientated, loads of cheap local games...fantastic!!What are the downsides?? Not so much media attention? Who gives one? Not so much money? How does more money affect us as fans? Not at all!!!If anyone has any decent points please post but personally I cant wait for the trips to Derby,Leicester, Forest,Birmingham,Wolves and Leeds(I love Leeds away!!!) We wont be breaking any records by being relegated so heads up,keep supporting the club and lets enjoy whatever the next few weeks throws at us!!!

It's a major problem due to the ridiculous amount on offer for staying up this season.
We'd also lose most of our current crop of players.

Please tell me who is going to take any of the present players off the pay role ? Names of players and the offers if any would be interesting

More games for our money Not last on Match of the Day Less Sunday matches due to Europa League competing opposition More local away days More affordable away days No more Pulis? Maybe score some goals Maybe play a little football More room to stretch out at home games

Bang on the money mate. 6 games to go, it's a win-win situation of the fans.

there are no bent refs, just supporters who cannot believe that their team can do any wrong

To me it makes little difference which division we're in although I realise the importance to the club's finances.
The plus points are some local and decent away days that are more attractively priced.

I wouldn't be bothered if we got relegated.
The Premier League is vastly overrated, no chance of really winning anything so if you mid table you play for sod all season after season.
I'd like to stay up and replace the manager but I wouldn't be in tears if we got relegated and released the manager.
What would make me suicidal is relegation and the same manager.
I actually prefer watching the football league show than MOTD. It's a very competitive and close league.

Got no problem with the obvious benefits of the Championship and below (such as less glory fans, more local and cheaper away games meaning i get more footy for my cash etc.) but just being a PL club has its benefits (more coverage, meaning the chance to spread the clubs name, PLUS the small fact of feeling superior to BRUM, WOLVES and DERBY fans). Of course, I want us to stay up (who wouldnt), but you wouldnt catch me not getting behind MY team (FFS i 'suffered' that night in Nuneaton)in the event of relegation.

Yes the championship is good for visiting grounds and cheaper away tickets but whats to say the quality of football will be better? Some shocking teams in that division and we are not just gonna start playing swansea football in 5 months, we have never played good football. Less fans going, no decent signings (arguably more attractive clubs then us in the championship), vale only 1 league of us and worst of all that bloody football league show, 30 second coverage at 2 in the morning, plus all the financial benefits? Stadium improvements etc. and the club stability. We need to survive!!!

Agree with the original poster, my only problem is that this scenario was completely AVOIDABLE but for some reason Pulis has gone out of his way to make it happen. It would have been difficult to get relegated with the players we have even if you tried,so God knows how he's managing to achieve it........is he on a relegation bonus?
