I think you really might go down as so far a lot of you,and most of your players have fallen into the "we ONLY need 2 wins" trap, and games are running out. I personally hope you stay up but if you get beat off us where are those 2 wins coming from ?
Also a lot will depend on you lot tomorrow if we score early and you turn on TP and the team we could run riot
May the best team (on the day lol) win
UP THE VILLA

This is my fear.
It's all very well saying "we only need two wins" but when we've only won one in twelve, it's not that easy to suddenly win two in seven.
My view is we HAVE to beat you boys or else we're pretty screwed.

We won't turn tomorrow, certainly not until the final whistle.
I expect the Brit to be at it's loudest ever tomoz for 90 minutes.

What's really worrying is our manager saying such things as "we can lose the next 5, as long as we win 2 at the end". There's no sense of urgency from Pulis and there should be. We should see villa as an extremely important game just like villa will see it. I worry that seeing how Pulis has played down the importance of it, the team that wants it more, as is often the case will win. If we don't I think we will really struggle.

Sounds to me like Villa are grasping straws here.
The pressure is on you lot not us(as much) and that should hopefully go in our favour.

I can't see us winning again this season never mind winning twice. To win you have to score. We don't score.
Pulis out

I'm afraid the crowd will despair and the build up of anger will start at around 2pm as soon as news of the team sheet gets around. If TP continues with his head up his arse.

No clutching at straws here mate,we've been in a relegation battle for months, the point I'm trying to make is that a lot of Stokie fans/players still don't think they are, trust me if you lose tomorrow your right in it make no mistake,as for pressure not a problem for our kids as they enjoy playing away 'cus our home support is shockingly fickle !

Pressure is definitely on us. If we don't win tomorrow then we will be in trouble but we all know this and so does Pulis. I would be very surprised if we don't come out and completely bombard you early on. Your young lads do have a great future ahead of them but I think this may be something that they might not be totally used to and early on they may find it a bit of a struggle.
(If we don't come out and bombard you then you could quite easily settle into it and wait for your chance on the counter)

You should be fine then as our crosses have been woeful for the majority of the season. Playing Shotton (or Walters) on the right wing hasn't helped the situation, and Kightly has not produced any real quality crosses when he's played. Ethers on the left has been too slow, can't beat a defender and has not produced the kind of crosses we saw when he was flying a couple of seasons ago.

Ivan Gaskell has just tweeted that TP said "We could lose the next 5 games and win the last 2 and still get 40 points" at his press conference.
Yeah, good luck with that if it's what you end up needing to do Tony.

The most worrying thing about that is that Shotton actually did reasonably well out wide last week and put in a couple of decent balls. Possibly our biggest attacking threat was from his throw which means that he has to start on Saturday and we will have to revert to long throws at every opportunity. It's not ideal but if it means we can somehow get a goal then we have to rely on it. That said I'm fully confident with Crouch's blistering pace and electric movement up front we should be able to create plenty during open play

I'm deeply concerned because we don't look like scoring and, whilst stating the obvious, you don't win games without goals.
However, games of football aren't won or lost on football messageboards.

Usually for a neutral, Stoke matches are anything but interesting. Tomorrow however I think Stoke vs Villa will be great for anyone but Stoke and Villa supporters! Anything less than three points for either side and its not looking good for the loser is it? What if it's a really cagey affair and we end up sharing the spoils? I dunno about for Villa but I think that would doom us too. Exciting game tomorrow, for all the wrong reasons. I wish it was the usual banal, nothing to play for end of season mid-table affair. But it's not SO LET'S HAVE IT!!

Hope springs eternal that even Crouch and Walters might bag tomorrow
