well Chesterfield actually courtesy of a good friend of mine who is a massive Chesterfield fan. It was a cracking game of football. Great at times, shit at times but played with an endeavour, honesty and spirit that is all to invisible in many of the games that we watch these days. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My little lad was a Chesterfield mascot and he called the Vale captain a soapdodger pre kick off, booed when the Vale players came into the tunnel, high fived Mark Crossley and told Chesterfield's chairman that Stoke's manager should be sacked for selling for Ricardo Fuller. I hadn't prompted him on anything other than Mark Crossley, telling him that he used to play for Stoke. Great day at a fantastic little family football club and a really enjoyable game to watch. Fair play to both teams.

Sometimes it's a pleasure to watch lower league stuff Dave (Even if it was the great unwashed!) lol
I sometimes go to Leek Town, it's great to see a blood and thunder game, where players can actually get stuck in without all the dramatics. It's also good to be able to have some real banter with the opposition fans.
I think we all forget what "Real" footie is about!

Fuck me some people are desperate for entertainment, the only entertainment to be had by me would have been seeing the Vile get twatted 5 or 6 nil. Gouranga.

I watched Leek Town today and they were absolute shite (I felt right at home) and I paid £7 for the priviledge and it was bastard freezing and my lad who was on the bench for them didn't get on.

Indeed Gibby. It was very enjoyable. A Chesterfield midfield player, Mark Randall, actually passed the ball forwards and to a team-mate. He even got forward and had a couple of shots.
I couldn't believe my eyes!

I'd rather sit and watch the hairs grow out of my sweaty balls for an hour and a half than watch Chesterfield vs Port fucking Vale.

I couldn't believe my eyes! Is he ex-Arsenal? I think he may have got sent off against us in a reserve game at the Brit and then got all mouthy when the hardy 4/500 of us there were giving him verbals.

Gouranga. 8-)You don't get many nil's with the Vale mate they have scored 74 Goals this season. I am a ST holder in the Q railing stand and I have renewed! but I do take in the odd game at Vale park as I live near by. Took my young nephew to the match on good Friday. Pope's third goal was sublime! Then on Monday I see super John miss a sitter from three yards. As pointed out in the threads above the standard of football may not be great but the entertainment factor is.
