A few weeks ago I thought 38 would do it.
On the predictor thing now I reckon it might take 40.
I wish there was a smiley that shat itself.

Yeah it's certainly starting to look 40.

Do you reckon we will get it?
I can see us only drawing against Villa, beating Norwich, but then pulling something out of the hat against Manure.

Might depend where we get the points. Three points against Villa would be massive, and could be enough to see us over the line. Lose against Villa and we might need to beat Nowich and take another couple of points from somewhere else - presumably from that foreign land known as "away from home."

Beating Villa would also give us the confidence to make it over the line too. I just have a feeling we will only draw. I've got a funny feeling it will be 2-2 and I'm usually quite good at predicting our results. I think we might get a draw away from home in one of our games. Maybe we will get something against either Man U or Spurs though? We usually tend to do better against the better teams, the crowd will be up for those games more, Tone's tactics are better against superior opposition and so on.

I tend to think we do better against teams who don't attempt to stifle us. If teams come to the Brit thinking they don't need to worry about us, they let us play how we want, and this sometimes backfires on them - or it has in the past. When teams come to stifle us, we haven't got a clue what to do - our only win this year has been against a team who'd had a good set of results and were probably thinking they could turn us over despite being in the bottom three.

I've always thought we'd be safe until yesterday when it really hit home. Right now i literally dont have a clue. It all depends on next week imo. Lose to Villa and i think it would be wise to sack Pulis because at the very least a new managers honeymoon period could see us through. Defeat next week would prove that we are relegation material imo. We are tactically absolutely diabolical. Either way he has to go in the summer. Results aside we've been boring as fuck for the last 2 seasons.

Results aside we've been boring as fuck for the last 2 seasons. I was really surprised by the reaction after yesterday's game to be honest. I was expecting us to narrowly lose that game by the odd goal and that's exactly what happened so it made no difference. For me the possibility of relegation sunk in about 24 hours after the West Ham game. Had we beat West Brom I would have been okay, but obviously we didn't. And then looking at other teams, playing with the predictor made me think 38 points might not be enough. We will all be spending a lot of time watching other teams results for the next few weeks. I celebrated when Gerrard's penalty went in earlier.

This exactly ... or even, where we don't get the points - losses to Villa and Sunderland could prove catastrophic.

That has been a problem for ages. First two season it was never a problem. I think it started becoming a problem at some point in the third season when the consensus from pundits and managers was that a point at Stoke was a good result. Since then many a team has come to our place and pulled a Stoke on us. Provided they have got solid defenders that are good in the air they have a decent chance of getting something. It's when teams show more respect to us... like Pardew for instance. After that 4-0 defeat in the 2011 season he did his bloody homework and knew exactly how to beat us the following time round. It's why Wigan always beat us too. That 5-3-2 formation is perfect for playing against us.

Pulis has one tactic which works fine when we're the underdog and nobody pays any attention to what we're trying to do. As soon as someone shows us enough respect to actually try to stop us, Pulis' limitations are shown up in all their glory. He doesn't know what to do. We've now climbed the greasy pole high enough for most teams to pay us that respect, and the emperor has been found to be without too many clothes.
