in my opinion in ages to go up without parachute payments available...... The vast majority of the championship's promoted sides are sides that have been in the premiership in recent years, and have finances and top players from that experience. The likes of Birmingham, Sunderland, Derby, etc...have all been in the prem and have stepped back into the top flight by spending there millions from when they were previously promoted, be if we go up we can't say we have had that finance available. We are on course to achieve something historic and memorable and for the first time it is really kicking in for me just how close we are....I haven't been able to grasp/believe our achievements thus far, it's just amazing. When/If we get too the prem with the healthy finances we recieve for promotion we stand as gooder chance as anyone at staying up. We need to get the right players in pre-season, something Derby failed too do, and if we can attract that quality and add that too the other at least 6 players who currently have of premiership quality we can stay up. With the finances rewarded for promotion ANYONE stands a chance of survival, and we are no different. If we came back down we would still have the finances there and hopefully at the very worst become a yoyo-club in the mould of Sunderland. Getting to the premiership surivival or not, put's you in good stand-stead for the future, and i so no reason why we can't survive and eventually become a stable premiership outift. Look at Wigan and Reading in there first seasons there squads were not drastically changed alot of there starting players, strarted for them in the championship and both of them over-achieved in there first seasons, so we certainly can. I'm loving being a stokie at the moment, and feel so proud, please finish the job of stoke and make my year

total agree with the first post,
its all about building and consolidating over a number of years, so that might mean relegation in the first year but it makes funds available that werent there before

Come on guys. who knows!
Going up will make us a bigger club, increase the gate and revenue.
Will we stay up?
If we buy well and change our approach slightly, who knows!
We will not do a Derby!
