Don't know him on a personal level but I think I read he'd been ill. Hope he's on the mend and back posting his usual drivel soon, not the same without the old goat.

I think there seems to be quite a few who haven't "crossed over" yet.

I think there seems to be quite a few who haven't "crossed over" yet. Is there any way of finding out how many have migrated to the new board? The members list isn't much help as that shows everyone whether they have migrated or not. Be interesting if Admin could provide the following stats: # Number of active members of the old board - i.e. the number who have posted in the past 3 months. # Number who have migrated to the new board.

There isn't. There's no "old board" and there's no "new board". It's exactly the same board, same database, same everything except it's on a newer template (Version 5 of ProBoards instead of Version 4)

In which case we may simply see a cut off in activity by certain members who don't "convert". It took me five attempts to get the new template to accept a password from me. It said my password was incorrect when it wasn't (I know because I checked it out before the new template went live). Then it refused to give me a change password screen until the sixth time of asking. If I had problems then others will also have had problems and some may not be as persistent as me.

I had a password issue at first logon but once sorted its not really that different, no navigation problems whatsoever.

It must have been him as he would know given he runs his own ProBoard. Damn cunning of him to sneak back on here under our radar wasn't it? Im a bit concerned about March. He PM'd me a few weeks back to say he had been unwell. I have tried to get in touch to find out how he is progressing to no avail as yet. Let us know how you are you old bugger!

And something else, too. How do you send PM's? Rarely do I use it but it can be very useful. And what is the difference between quick reply and create post? Ta.

The Quick Reply does what it says on the tin...useful for brief messages. You should see a REPLY button in a white box at the top right hand of the screen, that will put you into a bigger window with icon buttons for adding effects to your posts like smilies, hyperlinks, pictures and videos and you can also format your text in the main window.

Serious question, where is March4? arrrrrr where u inlove I deliberately refrain from correcting people for poor grammar and spelling mistakes on a football message board in recognition of my propensity for pedantry so I will let that one pass and simply congratulate you on the worse sentence I have read on here in months. Thanks for the update Mark.

Thanks for the update Mark. Being as we're into pedantry(is that really a word?)I feel you ought to have chosen the word worst as that is the least good, whereas worse is not as good as something else by comparison.

Should have been worst but I can pretend it is because the letters t and e are very close together on the keyboard so I will take that line of defence. Pedantry is a word. Check in the dictionary... there is a picture of you next to it.
