Christ on a bike, doom gloom and misery, I have never seen so much pain and woe from supporters of a team not positioned in a relegation spot, half the Johnny come lately on here don’t know what a truly woeful Stoke team performance is all about, anyone under the age of 16 has never seen a bad season and anyone under 18 can’t remember one, yes we are not hitting the perceived entertainment value of the majority of supporters but the majority of whom would drift into the wood work if we started to score goals and become happy clappers, that’s the fine difference with a Tony Pulis side, same performance but win the game everyone’s smiling, draw or lose the game everyone’s bleating fuck all about the performance it is the result that matters, of course people want to be entertained including me but its football and nothings guaranteed, Tony Pulis should be held as a legend for what he has given Stoke/me in a painful football following career not hounded through the door like an antichrist to the game. To be honest I really hope the people who are stating that they are not renewing don’t as Stoke has always been a club with supporters not fans..and there is a difference, if you don’t like it don’t go you won’t be missed by me, I had enough under Boskamp and didn’t renew the year after you pays your money and takes your choice, I quite enjoyed having a row/block to myself when we got the 12K week in week out before the hangers on/premier league mercenaries appeared. I can’t believe we were not the best supported team in the lower leagues with 20K plus week in week out as I am yet to meet one of the glory hunting Jonny come lately as they all profess to being a stoke supporter for years, I dare say if Tony Pulis walks at the end of the season and we go down next season most will blame Pulis for the disaster This club has never been better placed, financially and securely, it won’t be Tony Pulis that will kill this club............  |

why do people keep trying to accuse fans of being JCL's when they talk about people who want a change?
I've been going for 18 years mate, since i was old enough to go.......I've seen some dire shit in those years, but back then we didn't have the transfer fee's, the wages, and the infrastructure we have in place now.
quite simply the last 18 months have NOT BEEN GOOD ENOUGH

Depending what we class as 'kiddies' these days I don't think it's an indicator in the for or against Pulis, kids get bored they've watched 'the big guns' for 5 seasons and the novelty factor has worn off as everything does with kids!

Psychological thing - the threads arent meant to add anything new, its meant to prop up the Pulis support in their minds by finding "wrong" posts. The arguments give them something to be against, so giving their Pulis support a reason to exist. You see exactly the same on youtube videos about religion. *Im not saying all pro-Pulis threads are worthless mental wanking, but the bloodtypered type of thread, the type we saw last year that were banging on about how Pulis would be "a good guy to be in the trenches with". We've been on relegation form for an entire calender year. Thats why people are pissed off. It's not like you can pick out a single game from that calender year and say we've been unlucky either.
The only reason we aren't firmly in the relegation zone is that one of Tony's Undroppables lost a few teeth and had to be replaced by someone who fits our style for a few games.

you didn't renew after Boscamp....at least he could win away and we scored goals,we also conceded goals, which i found more entertaining than being ultra defenceive and not conceding goals,but not scoring goals either.....oh and by the way we finished mid table,and when Pulis came in he was going to do wonders compared to Boscamp....yes he did,the following season he had one more win than Boscamp,and turned two or three losses into draws with the same dire dross tactics we see today!!!!!!!!!

This is not a blip, we're up shit's creek without a paddle. Sticking by the manager isn't showing loyalty or sensibility. Even thou i dont agree with all the OP has said they facts state that we gained 13000 fans between 2007-2008 so it is a good bet that the biggest percentage of fans who are turning there back on the club are from this number.
