Can Coates "park" him in Orlando though?
He has no say / control in it over there does he?
They have a few "owners" and a big kahuna Brazillian mr moneybags that might want to decide on their manager themselves.

Obviously I don't know - but if Coates said to Rawlings here is Pulis - give him a job as a director/scout - Coates pays his (say ) £500k salary for at least one season I suspect that they would agree. And Pulis might even enjoy 12mths in the Florida sunshine away fom the agro here

Brighton are a MUCH MUCH bigger club than Reading will ever be.
A very odd move if it ends up being one that Poyet makes.

He got a team to a play off final in the championship, which Poyet is yet to do. Needs to prove himself more before he gets a Prem job, there's a touch of Martinez syndrome about him - if it was Kenny Jackett buzzing around the play offs would he be being linked to Prem jobs? Well Bristol City thought so much of Johnson that they booted him out and he has since had three clubs in three years; Peterborough, Northampton and Yeovil - hardly the best CV for an aspiring manager lol I know what you mean about Poyet. I would have doubts about him too. I suspect the attraction is his defence allied to attacking football. My own choice of a young manager would be Zola if he doesn't get promotion If I was Coates I would park Pulis out in Orlando, bring in a young manager and then call Pulis back to save us if it all went pear shaped That was my point Paul - Johnson, Brown, Boothroyd, Coyle etc all turned out to be very much fly by night managers, and I don't think Poyet's done enough yet to put him above any of them.

Definitely not one I want at Stoke. Why get rid of one obstinate, agressive manager with a nasty smile and replace him with another?

Imho the chances of Peter Coates appointing a manager with no managerial experience in the Premier League are beyond measure, as such Poyet would not have been under consideration. I also think it's improbable that he would appoint a manger who isn't British so again Poyet wouldnt his choice.
imho e.t.c.

would be funny if Reading went down and Brighton came up Thing is this is highly likely. If Poyet goes for this move then he has a hell of a lot of confidence in his own ability.

Nothing is impossible with the tall Uruguayan in charge ALL HAIL THE TALL URUGUAYAN! On a serious note it is a big risk for Gus. You'll get your chance to see what hes made of now anyway Rob as I know you're currently somewhat sceptical of his qualities. It will be interesting to see for sure.
