To be fair it'll be better for Jack to actual be out playing for the U-21s now.
He's been around the senior set up for a bit, now he should be looking to be No.1 for the U-21s.

Roy is a hypocrite. He criticised Crouch for turning down England & then goes & picks Foster who also turned his back on England. Don't get me bloody started on the Ferdinand callup.

Nowt to do with Woy this time fellas - reel yer necks in
Goalkeeper Jack Butland would rather play in the European Under-21 Championship this summer than take part in England's friendly programme.
The 20-year-old, who signed for Stoke in January and will begin working with them after finishing the season with Birmingham, has proved in the past he is focused on developing his game ahead of burnishing his status as a high-profile bench-warmer.
He rejected the chance to move to Chelsea and also declined talks with Manchester City as he sought a top-flight club that could offer him first-team football - and now he has applied the same logic to his international career.
While the Football Association's 150th anniversary matches against the Republic of Ireland and Brazil will undoubtedly be big occasions, the chance to be first-choice in tournament conditions in Isreal is a bigger lure to Butland.
"I want to go with the Under-21s," he told The Times.
"For me, I think it would be a lot more beneficial to my development. Much as I'd love to go to Brazil for the experience my target is to go there 12 months later for the World Cup.
"For now I need to get these games under my belt."

Foster fell out with Capello, not out of love with playing for his country - big difference. If it was a club team, he would have been sold and that would have been the end of it, but he can't stop being English, can he? Now Woy is there, he expressed the view that, if he was worth a place, he would like to be considered again. I can't see the problem to be honest.
As for Jack, he has said he wants to get game time at under-21 level rather than sit and watch Hart play - which seems eminently sensible.

Woy must be looking to the future by picking Ferdinhand. ;D
He could have picked a squad from the rest of the Football league to beat San Marino FFS.

Think the papers said something about Butland choosing the U-21 instead of sitting on the bench for the A-team?

Think the papers said something about Butland choosing the U-21 instead of sitting on the bench for the A-team? Yeah I saw that as well. Said he'd rather get the experience of being in a tournament with the U21's then he would do playing friendlys with the full squad
