Until 2015. Interesting.
Is this so they'll get some compensation for him or will he genuinely be there another two years?

He's guaranteed Swansea some serious compensation, when he didn't have to.

And thats all Paul. It doesn't mean he'll stay if a big offer comes and it certainly doesn't mean he won't get sacked if they go shit next season.

Is he being linked with anyone?
Barcelona are in a bit of a crisis, would he be welcomed back after his Madrid exploits?
Man City could need a manager.

Real Madrid could come a knocking. Could he turn that down?

I forgot about Real needing a new manager, piggin eejit I am. It makes a hell of a lot of sense, so with it being Madrid it probably won't happen.
I don't think he could Joe, he'd be mad to really even though they are a mental club when it comes to managers, You can't turn them down can You? It's one of the best opportunities in football.

If it goes wrong you emerge reputation intact. For one thing it's good on anyone's CV and everyone knows it's a basket case to work for. Mournho had one instruction....win the European Cup. If they don't do that this season he's failed. But it's hardly damaging his status.

Totally agree and even with Laudrup's reputation which at the moment is high but has it moments in his career up to now, I think he'd come out of it unscathed unless he did a disastrously bad job.

Real Madrid demand things to be done with style. Mourinho is very pragmatic and lots of people at the club were opposed to him being appointed for that reason.
You might find this hard to believe but traditionally Real Madrid had the style and Barcelona were physical cloggers

I knew Madrid were generally stylish but when were Barcelona last cloggers? Pre-70's so pre-Cruyff? Even so they've had some fantastic players even before then like Kubala.

They always had magnificent players but often they didn't play magnificent nogger. Early 80s they were horrible and played with excessive violence

That was the inter-Cruyff years and from memory (I read a book ) what inspired Cruyff to implement the cantera plan that has flourished now.
