He thinks wearing an Alice band on Sunday morning TV is acceptable for a 40-year-old tabloid journalist.
No more needs to be said.

Again though he is suggesting that a change of style will result us playing in the championship. Nobody can guarantee that and, I believe, very few fans want us to play like swansea. Personally I just want to see more of the performances against Liverpool, Newcastle 2 years ago, Arsenal, Chelsea and United two years ago as well!

More predictable media shite.
The only opinions on Stoke that matters are those of the supporters.

I thought we'd settled the journo backlash already?
Doesn't it consist of: -
* They slate us, our style of play, our players, our maneger, our fans, everything we stand for, how do we put up with it, it's dire etc etc etc.
* We finally reach a breaking point and call for change.....all of a sudden we're ungrateful....Pulis has done so much for the club etc etc.

Same as most of the rimmers on this forum, not actually seeing what is going on now NOR what we are actually saying because of "where we have come from" and "charlton"

"If they want a different style of football, they will have to confront the prospect of enjoying it in the Championship"
At least he knows it's the 'football' that's the issue and not us wanting to break into the top six.
EDIT: Oh and would somebody be so kind as to twitter Holt, Smudge's excellent piece in the Sentinel today please?

So basically, if a fucking journalist criticises our style of play, he is offering an honest opinion of our failings as a football team, but of the fuckers who pay every week offer a few boos and a bit of pushback, we're all ungrateful shits who will be relegated?
Wanker.

There's little excuse for wearing a bloody Alice band on a football pitch but wearing one on TV when pontificating on the game as a pundit is beyond the pale. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so tragic.

I'm sure the first media article, agreeing that it's time for a change from the bilge and it's 'Thanks and Goodbye Tone' will be treated with equal disdain.

its ironic that the same papers have criticised stoke for 5 years for their playing style and approach to games have now turned on the fans for voicing the same opinions

It seems that whatever we think, the media think the opposite. Very clever reverse psychology by us all.

It's just the Media doing what they do.
The controversial (or opposite) opinion will be the one that drives reaction, which in turn drives audience figures up.

It's alright for the journalists to make all the "ungrateful Stoke fans" comments. Up until they're given a stoke game to go and report on and then it's all guns blazing against how we're an overly-physical hoofball team. If they had to pay to watch it every week it would be a different story

He lost what little bit of credibility he had wearing that girlie Alice band. Holy shit why would you do that? As for his comments...How feckin difficult is it to understand what our beef is with the manager? Hey journos here is a novel idea...talk to the supporters. Or is that too challenging for your limited journalistic skills?

Another thing about Ollie Holt when he was banging on about racism in football he never brought up about Gannon racially abusing Stein. I mentioned to him about it & he never heard about it before.

To be fair that was over 20 years ago and in league one so I doubt many journalists know/remember that issue
