Anyone see/notice the incident in Saturday's game in the second half where Kightly picked the ball up just inside our half and ran forward, unopposed, into an open area deep inside their half.
N'zonzi tracked his run, Kighly never saw him, continued to run in a straight line and gave the ball straight to the first West Ham player that approached him. West Ham broke up field and nearly scored.
Even prior to the chance materialising, N'zonzi had berated Kightly, waving his hands, shaking his head and basically asking what the fuck he had just done. After the chance, he could clearly be seen explaining to Whelan what had happened, pointing in the direction of Kightly, showing how much ground he had covered in the process and shaking his head some more.
If it wasn't so worrying it would actually have been quite funny.
Anyone else spot it?

You but be explaining one of any of hundreds of incidents involving Kightly.
If I was N'Zonzi I wouldn't take it personally. He hasn't the vision or awareness to see what's around him. He just gets his head down and runs. Sometimes he gets lucky, often he gives it straight to the opposition.

Fuck me what was he expecting fraud footballer and all round piss taker, Glenn Whelan to say about the matter? Just prior to that incident, fan favourite, affectionately know as Glenda (or useless twat) for the second week running put a pass flush and full into the advertising hoardings when under no pressure whatsoever.
I'd rather N'Zonzi had punched the both of them on the beak to be honest.

Me too!
Whelan was every bit as shocking as the rest of his teammates and anyone with half a brain would see that he needs to be taken out of the firing line.
Sadly, your hero and all round good egg of a manager can't see that and simply keeps chiseling away with the same shitty players in the same shitty positions.

If only we had a chairman who would back the manager with the funds to improve the squad.

There is one thing that intrigues me with the Whelan situation right now to be honest.
During our first 3 seasons in the Premier League, Whelan was clearly the very best option that we had to partner Rory in the middle of the pitch yet often found himself out of the side.
He was the modern day Adam or Palacios if you like. Nothing he did seemed to secure his place in the team and he was the first one to be dropped to accommodate inferior and less suitable players in the starting 11 regardless of how well he had played previously.
For the last two seasons, we have arguably had better players than Whelan sat on their arses or not even in the squad at all yet for two seasons, he has now been a virtual ever present.
Pulis won't seem to drop/rest him no matter what when 2 seasons ago, Pulis always felt the need to rest him. He never played him after he had been on international duty for example.
Nowadays, despite having what would appear to be better options available, Whelan is an ever present and undroppable.
Along with so many other things that the manager deems to be "best for the team and club", you really couldn't make this sort of shit up.

You're right magicman, obviously, but the incident which I highlight was something much more than that.
The team spirit has gone and it seems to me like the players simply don't trust their teammates a great deal. N'zonzi reacted to Kightly's shitness just like the crowd did.
He might as well as cheered him off the pitch with us as well.

I saw this. I think I reacted in pretty much the same way as N'Zonzi.
I don't like his attitude at all. We don't have enough leaders in the squad to keep a lid on this sort of thing. We badly miss figures like Salif, who controlled the dressing room, off the pitch.

I think we are living in another world is people think that bollocking a fellow player on the pitch is wrong and is a sign of unrest. I think its a good thing that Kightly got a bollocking. Shawcross did it last week to Cameron when he fucked about on the edge of his box. Players need telling. Look at players like Keane, Carragher or Schemichel who would dish it out left right and centre to team mates.
In fact players from academy level are told to make sure they tell team mates if they have done something wrong or keep on doing the same thing wrong. In terms of Kightly how long can he keep on doing the wrong thing (usually running up a blind alley and losing the ball) and team mates not say anything to him? He needed it. On top of that he needs not picking in the first place, because everything he does goes wrong.

andy...the N'zonzi reaction was much worse than a normal "player on player bollocking" hence I why I highlighted it and asked if anyone else saw it.
It was an open and clear example of one player belittling the ABILITY of another.
You simply have to keep a lid on such things as a player but we don't. N'zonzi is pissing me off enormously at the moment because his attitude is nothing short of an absolute disgrace.
He shouldn't have been joining the crowd in berating Kightly and laughing at his shitness and should have been encouraging his mate to improve.

I noticed about midway through the first half Ryan went specifically up to N'Zonzi and had a work word with him about something. You're right though we've lost some big players in the firm of Delap, Higgy, Salif and even Ricardo (after his Wembley team talk) and replaced them with some moody sods who throw a strop if the games not going their way.

I agree on Nzonzis attitude at times, he does come across as petulant to say the least, but I think that come the second half Kightly had fucked up so many times that eventually something had to be said. It was so frustrating watching it let alone playing with someone like that. I can understand the furstration, of course whether Nzonzi went about it in the right way is open to debate. I think TP should have taken him off earlier tbh. I noticed about midway through the first half Ryan went specifically up to N'Zonzi and had a work word with him about something. Nzonzi was losing it because of the amount of times Carol was elbowing him in the face. The worrying thing is that we can now see that Nzonzi could easily be targeted by opposing players as someone who could lose it at any moment.

I imagine Glen pointed out that he could have achieved much the same thing by running back towards our goal.......it might even have ended up with a real goal scoring opportunity if approached this way ( for the opposition, of course, but what the hell a chance is a chance ) ;D

N'Zonzi's attitude on Saturday was nothing short of a disgrace.
He went down like the proverbial sack when Carroll brushed him in an early aerial challenge, then jumped up and had a go at the referee. Onbviously nothing wrong with him, just having a mard.
I appreciate the frustration of a footballer playing in our side but his character does seem questionable.

Not the sort of fake grimacing, injury feigning, time wasting wankery West Ham engaged in but not nice to see all the same.

I think Saturday showed up loads of different examples about all that is bad about our team right now.
On top of the fact that we were absolutely shit, we also had the mard-arseing, belly-aching, surrounding the ref and diving that we have rightly sneered at in the direction of others.
All in all, Saturday was a very depressing day at the Brit!
