When you think about all the energy expended on this board on new signings. The epic daveviews thread. The excitement, the anticipation and the late nights on deadline day.
Contrast this with the realisation that it doesn't really make much difference who we actually sign.
The manager will never change. He is still playing the same tactics as he did at Gillingham. The player's have to fit into that formulaic and unyielding system otherwise they are history. 100% perspiration, 0% inspiration. That's all.

That's why it's not working anymore as far as I'm concerned. When we were promoted, we had battlers who, in the main were limited, but would run through a brick wall for the cause. Pulis seemed to believe that buying better players would improve us. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to have the tools to accommodate the better footballers, and instead of playing to their strengths, insists on playing the style of football that still requires battlers not footballers. You can respect him all you like for what he's achieved for us in the past, but he doesn't have the ability to manage our future.

The energy expended? Clicking a mouse button and maybe typing a few words? WOW! Talk about a warped sense of reality.
Football Manager anyone?

The energy expended? Clicking a mouse button and maybe typing a few words? Maybe you weren't around when daveviews thread filled up 1000 pages of this message board. Half of this board virtually lived on that thread for the best part of two months.

For the system and philosophy we currently have we might as well save our money and buy from the lower leagues.

Nail on head Full respect for what he has achieved, but he is not the right man to move us forward any further. Time to say thanks for everything TP, you really are a hero to us all, but goodbye.
