For most of us this turgid and fruitless methodology has run its course. It's hard to see goals coming from anywhere although I'm sure the odd one will drop in. Last year was much of the same. Several months of the season still to play and you find yourself yearning for the final bell and the promise of things fresh and anew in August. As frustrating as it is we do have a choice though. The slightly less radical option to f.ing off up the Vale is to just give it a rest for a while. If the style of play offends ( and as a paying consumer you have every right to be offended) then take a rest. Avoid football. Avoid the results. Avoid Stoke. Don't do it as a protest - no one cares. Don't expect the manager to change at any point soon - he's as safe as Ferguson. Don't expect him to evolve or develop a new mindset - he is who he is. If you feel you really have reached an impasse with Pulism, take a deep breath and for your own peace of mind, walk away for a while. If you love the club, at sometime in the future you will return to discover new players a fresh atmosphere and thrills you had forgotten existed.

Last year TP could put some blame on all the the games in Europe and in the cups, but this season he can't use that as an excuse!
