I can understand why a lot of people feel like they do, but lets face it we have never played exceptional in many games in the prem and never looked to beat any team by more than 3 goals. My point being what has changed over the last 5 games or so that we are playing so badly? Since we lost our unbeaten run we have gone downhill, its the same players............so is it the confidence as gone? I thought today was a wake up call, we should have won today against a poor west ham side. But the first goal was so important today. So what constructive ideas have we got?

Confidence has clearly been damaged following the run of too many goals conceded. Ironically much of that can be attributed to the loss of Ryan at the end of last year / turn of this. I think that subsequently went to the managers head and he has in turn done his usual and shit himself.
We have thus become even more risk averse and unable to score and are now in a downward trajectory. The manager has gone on far too much about the money at stake next season and I think this also translates to player morale.

The manager may be getting an even bigger bonus than usual for keeping us up. Therefore he's gone for the most fundamentalist version of his system in order to protect his payday. The fact there's a possibility of him losing out means he's starting to blame everyone but himself

I honestly thought we'd scrape a result today and the pressure would be off. I couldn't believe how bad we were though, we are definitely sinking and the players don't have have the same togetherness. Pulis has signed quality footballers who have played for some of the best coaches/managers in football and it seems these players may question his abilities. Pulis is clearly more comfortable with ambitious lower league players and dysfunctional higher league players than established quality players.

The moment I snapped was when TP returned to Peter Crouch upfront after weeks of Jones being visibly better. (That was the point things started to go badly...again)
I'd long suspected that the manager didn't really understand what he was doing tactically and that decision sealed the deal for me. Then we had the second half debacle v Wigan and a few more shit away games.
Even if we turn the corner again, it'll only be another false dawn. The man is out of his depth.

The last transfer window, for the first time Pulis wasn't allowed to spunk away millions.
