You wont fill the corner in until season ticket sales justify doing it? Well that looks like it wont be happening anytime soon. Honestly 4 people have said this morning at Work they wont be renewing while we play the way we do, and picking favorites over form players and better players. My mate sold his and his sons ST a few months back and he said this morning, "thank fuck i sold mine when i did, having to sit watching that drivel week in week out, premier league football my arse" And i could not argue against any of them

I've renewed mine and so has everyone I know, so that's something, I guess.
I'm sure that having a sulk now feels great, but they'll regret it next year, however we play.

Well the guy who sold his at Xmas aint regretting it, and why should he? £500+ to watch that shit?
I went on Saturday, and i wont be going anymore away games, utterly fed up of how we play, i had to sit with the Fulham fans, and there comments i heard about Stoke were hurtful, but VERY true.

It's their choice. I bet they would soon come running back if we made a good cup run again. I feel for people that can't afford or work fucks it up but those that don't go because the footie is shit can just do one for me. Good times and bad, we all have them but when we are bad is when they need our support the most.

I bet he does. People say all sorts of things to justify daft decisions and feel better about it. Things such as 'playing two wingers away from home is a luxury, Nige'.

A few years ago I was out of work and it looked like I would have to give my st up. Thankfully I landed a job and kept my ticket. I would like to see some of these moan when the choice about a ticket is taken from them. I was gutted!!

No amount of support will change this simple truth.

I don't know anyone who's not renewed. But it will be interesting to see the figures and how Coates reacts to them.

Maybe an eight year extended contract similar to Pardew's. *shudder*

My eldest is not renewing. I think I will but only because the youngest still wants to go.
Tbh I wouldn't care less if I never saw another game of Pulis ball in my life.

There's nothing worse than sitting at home or work when there is a match on that you could have attended.
You will regret not renewing and because you've done it once and started spending Saturday afternoons with the wives, girlfriends, family etc, you probably won't be allowed to get a season ticket down the line.
Think of it more of a long term investment in your sanity.

Pity the original poster thinks that the man who has invested £millions into the club and been responsible for getting us into the Premier League, is only worth addressing by his surname. The LEAST the bloke deserves is to be called MR Coates after what he has done for the club in the past 7 years.

Not attending boring Stoke City matches does not equate to a Saturday of shopping/DIY/domestic drudgery. Unless of course you are a sad hen-pecked knob-end. If you actually have a decent relationship with your other half then Saturdays to yourself are actually incredibly liberating.

Maybe he does. But if he wants Peter Coates to listen to his point of view he'd be better off treating him with a bit of civility. Like many of us I get letters landing on my doormat asking for my support for one charity or another. If two letters land on the mat from, say children's charities, and one addresses me as "Dear Mr Paterson" and the second addresses me as "Paterson" - guess which one I would feel more inclined to help?

Why would we fill the corners in if we are losing support??? We wouldn't! But, ideally, one would hope that Peter Coates and his family would want to take steps to grow the support and fill in the corner.

Oh come on. Do you really think Peter Coates gives a shit about supporters opinions, never mind listens to them? If that is true then the original poster was a bit daft to start his thread with a plea addressed to Coates and we might as well bin the whole thread - and most of the others on the board at the moment. However, Peter Coates may listen but he may simply think that the supporters are wrong. After all a majority of fans did not want Peter Coates back, thinking he would simply repeat the mistakes of his first time in charge. He proved us wrong there. Then, after Peter Coates came back, a huge majority of fans did not want TP back thinking that he was not the man to get us into the Premier League. Again Peter Coates disagreed and again he was proved right. So, I'm sure he will listen but he may well not agree.

All you do is call every other opinion apart from yours a load of shit and bollocks, and like most of you Pulis lovers, you find it hard to come up with a reasoned argument and resort to this crap. Can you seriously not understand that lots of people are becoming disillusioned and losing passion purely due to the mind numbing, defensive, boring football? And these people aren't the ones who have just started watching us since we got in the Prem, these are people who have been Stoke supporters for years, and had more passion about us when we were in the lower leagues. Does this not worry you? Do you care about the club and what it is doing to a lot of the fans? Or is being in the Premiership all you care about? I've said this before, I respect Stoke fans that don't mind the football and are enjoying it, fair play to them, I wish I felt like that. The simple FACT that we are 10th in the Premiership and a Pulis In or Out poll shows 69% of people want him out (yes I know it's not necessarily proportionate and the figure can't be used for all Stoke fans) must mean there is something seriously wrong?? Otherwise you're implying that most (at least 35% IMO) of Stoke fans are idiots and mentally insane?

It's not just season tickets. Fulham on Saturday cost me £35 for ticket, £15 for train (live in SE), £25 for beer, programme whatever. £75 total and I've got to think about the entertainment level. Yes I support Stoke and want them to do well, but I do think could I spend this money elsewhere and get better enjoyment.
Invariably the answer is yes, which is why I've cut down on the games I'm prepared to go too - no QPR for example and I didn't go to Arsenal or Chelsea either.
