There comes a time when even the most ardent pro Pulis advocates have to accept that there is a fucking huge issue and today was my breaking point. His approach to the game is never going to change, his inept tactics away from home are never going to change and we are not going to see any improvement in either approach or style of play while he remains at the helm.
Away from home, we are completely unwatchable. I've realized that while the game us on, I'm not even watching it now. Fifteen minutes into the game this morning and I was off to the kitchen cooking breakfast. Came back in, ate, and when Berbatov smashed one in on half time I felt almost no reaction. When Walters missed the penalty, same thing. No shock, no real sense of pain, just that same dull thud that is barely enough to break the boredom. I almost feel like I'm watching the game while being injected with morphine. You know it's painfull to watch, but the absolute inevitability of complete boredom just dulls all of your senses. You stare at the carnage and its almost like an out of body experience. You can see how bad it is, but you just keep staring blankly like every nerve in your body is just dead and you feel nothing. It's soul destroying and it has to end now.

I've been saying all week that we'd lose 0-1 or 0-2 and the whole thing is just so depressingly inevitable that it doesn't stir any emotions at all. Pulis has to go.

Me too...
It was my proudest moment today that my 3 year old boy asked to sit with to watch Stoke Football "with you dad"!
The result didn't even register as I sat there chatting to him about all sorts while he watched.... So proud! Although he did fall asleep in the second half...

Don't believe you feel no emotion.........you must feel as i do......RAGE...at what's going on..... No rage here either! Hence the OP's title summing it up nicely... I feel nothing really regarding my expectations... We lose and it's a shrug of the shoulders... I used to get incandescent with rage a few seasons ago, especially with that type of performance, but it's been worn out of me

Great post.
i feel nothing and the excitement buzz of going to watch my local club is draining fast and im seriously thinking of not renewing with 3 others next season.
Its that bad and it hurts to say this but today was another horror show and after a two week break we dish that up! its nothing short of disgraceful.
Thanks Tony you and your brand has won.
PULIS OUT NOW

My lad's 15, used to watch with me religiously, now it's every other game or so, still falls asleep sometimes, can't honestly say I blame him

Interesting about the lack of passion. I was listening to the match on Radio Stoke, and it struck me how there was a complete lack of feeling in Nigel Johnson's commentary and the same for Spinks alongside him.
You'd normally expect there to be some urgency in their voices as the end of the game approached, but it actually sounded like they weren't bothered. Very odd. Or maybe not.

Just fucking awful to endure.

I almost gave myself an aneursym today, every swearword under the sun was heard in my living room. I wish I could sum up the passion and energy to get angry about it, but I can't even be arsed to do that. It's reached a point where watching the game is a test of endurance, and this morning I failed the test. The game was on but I was barely paying any attention to it and felt completely disengaged. It's just not how it's meant to be.

The fact that it was actually an above average performance for us away tells you a lot. Like the poster I had no expectation and didn't watch the 2nd half. Off the fence now, get rid and let the cards fall where they may!

Don't know why anyone would be happy to pay to watch Pulisball, I watch it on a stream paid for by my son and that's too dear. I've watched us when our only forward was Gerard McMahon due to selling our best players, but after the money spent to watch that is just disgraceful. Might go fishing next week instead.

That's the last one for me until Southampton - my family don't deserve my post-match moods to be honest. I'll be looking to engage in more positive pursuits for the next few weeks...

I feel basically the same. Midway through the first half, wondering why I'd even bothered getting up early enough to watch since I KNEW what was going to happen. I can't imagine being one of the travelling support, the only consolation is that perhaps they had a good day out despite the game? :/
I hate feeling so apathetic, but away games .... bleh.

The away support is dwindling, to-day we only took one coach and a mini-bus (official travel), most of the supporters that go to the away games now are the ones that supported the team in the championship.

I never thought I would watch a Stoke match and feel nothing... Just emotionless to it all at the moment! I know what you mean. Right now I've completely lost the passion. I dont even have the desire these days to shout words of encouragement like I used to. I guess its that cynical part of me at the moment that makes me think "maybe it wouldnt be a bad thing if we lost today". Until we change the management its as clear as anything that we just arent going to change our style and approach.

Until we change the management its as clear as anything that we just arent going to change our style and approach. I gave up away games a couple of years ago and today I even didn't bother watching us live on tv so made other non football arrangements. My passion for away games is totally gone and despite having a season ticket for 25 years I can feel my passion for home games waning too. This man and his "ways" will not make me leave scfc. I support the club and will continue to buy a season ticket despite tp not due to him. After all at some point he will be gone and the match excitement will return and I will want my seat. Basically I seem to be going as some sort of sick duty or club loyalty or loyalty to those we have loved and lost at the moment rather than for the entertainment
