If Everton made a bid for N'Zonzi in a straight swap for Marouane Fellaini, would you take it? Why / why not?

;D
That's cheered me up. Everton wouldn't accept £20m plus N'Zonzi for Fellaini.

I think Messi for Walters is much more likely.

Fellaini has more energy and movement and Zonzi is more of an initiater. I think I'd stick with the Zonz

I'm just saying, who do you think is the better player? Fellaini. But he'd spit on the cage and headbutt Pulis for suggesting he play in it.

Fellani every day.
Nzonzi offers very little attacking threat compared to the former. Tidy footballer, but rarely takes risks and needs a palacios type player next to him. Oops, see what I did there?

Can we have both and have the tallest midfield on Earth? We can have Brek Shea on one wing and Marco Arnautovic on the other.

To be fair though, it's not as if he's able to get forward is it? Same with Fellaini if he came here (and I know he won't ever), he simply wouldn't be played in the way that makes him so effective at Everton.

A more appropriate comparison would be Fellaini or Walters since they play the same position.

Would it be outlandish to suggest that N'Zonzi was the better footballer? I can't believe you've comeback for a third round on this. ;D Just to summarise, Fellaini is better than N'Zonzi, so no, I doubt anyone except maybe March would contemplate keeping N'Zonzi in a straight swap deal.

Good question.
I think Pulis would let Fellini go forward if at the club.
Recently, I do question Nzonzis bravery. He passes back and sideways an awful lot. He doesn't lose the ball but doesn't drive forward either. Whelen isn't the player to take on the attacking role, either. We have a good player, but need someone who can take the bull by the horns and support the wingers. On paper, Palacious was the man to do it....
If we get a player in the summer who can do the above, it could well save Tones neck. Adam could also do a job, if he sat behind Nzonzi with the latter positioned higher up the pitch. We could be a very exciting team to watch if this was the case.
I dearly hope Pulis has learnt a few things on his European tour.
I can only dream..

Nzonzi has nothing to pass to further forward, hence a lot of sideways balls and a very frustrated figure. If only we had a Ricardo Fuller type to give him the option.
Show me a central midfielder in world football that would create something with the static Crouch and Walters in front of them?
Nzonzi has had his best games with Kenwyne leading the line but that is true of a lot of our supporting players.

I actually think there are some similarities between these two players, but Fellaini is much better in the attacking play of the game. N'Zonzi do have some ability in this department too, but way too seldom uses this ability.
