The next four fixtures are all against teams below us:
Reading Fulham West Ham Newcastle
Worst case scenario we could be 15th by Sunday, 18th by March 9. Best case scenario, we could be 7th or 8th.
Truly, the defining month of our season.
Whatever the outcome, changing manager before the end of the season is insane. However I expect the following if my support of Pulis is to extend beyond that:
If Crouch plays, give him some support up front. Even if it is Owen. If Owen was good enough to sign, he's good enough to play.
Play players in their position. Even if that means bringing back Pennant at right wing. Even if that means dropping Walters to keep the balance.
Don't forfeit away games negatively. Even a goal difference of minus 100 only has a net effect of being one point worse off. Use away games to 'experiment' with radical ideas like playing Adam in position, or supporting a front two with two wingers.
Buy a right back, left back and right winger in the summer.
Do that, and he will have my support whether we finish eighth or eighteenth. Well, seventeenth, I guess.

I predict 4-6.
We will beat Reading and will get at least a draw v West Ham. We know what a big club West Ham are don't we?
Obviously we will lose both away games, most likely 1-0.

Refue to believe that anyone is not already aware of this.
Even the super, super optimists don't need a calculator. Just a sense of reality.

There are 5 home games that really matter Reading West Ham West Brom Aston Villa Norwich
We need 7 point from these games to be safe and can lose all away games. We would have to have a dramatic collapse not to achieve this, with or without a manager

Reading (H) Fulham (A) West Ham (H) Newcastle (A )
My view is 4 possibly 5 points.
We probably need 9 points to be safe but I think we are still capable of achieving 46 points in total providing we take 3 points on Saturday!

Only mis management on an unprecedented scale will see Stoke in relegation trouble.

Only mis management on an unprecedented scale will see Stoke in relegation trouble. Spot on. I'm a far bigger fan of Pulis than Pugo, but it would be insanely bad management. Either that or the team all die.
