I've lost confidence in the direction he's taking us, mate, and I've always been a firm supporter of his methods and football philosophy. This is normally the time when he does something though to be fair. When the tide slowly seems to be turning against them and there appears to be civil unrest on the horizon he goes out and signs someone who galvanizes the club, the team and the fans. I think he'll do it again before (or to be honest probably after) 11pm tomorrow evening and there will be renewed optimism again. We'll get a draw on saturday and turn the corner again. Hope so, obviously, but after the last two or three transfer windows it feels like blind hope. In previous years, the hope felt justified.

I've never worked out why supporters haven't learned to trust Pulis. I've lost confidence in the direction he's taking us, mate, and I've always been a firm supporter of his methods and football philosophy. During previous bad patches, I've had faith he's still taking us forward in the long-term because he's consistently improved our squad by signing better players. Apart from Nzonzi, he's stopped doing that in the past couple of years. Even the best managers make the odd poor signing, but spending all that money on Crouch and Adam was the work of a mad man, the entire rest of the football world could see Owen wouldn't work at Stoke, and I don't buy the theory he was unlucky with Palacios. I am now hoping he will prove me wrong the same way he's repeatedly proved many others wrong over the past decade. Of course, if that happens I will be the first person to slag myself off and tell me: "I told you so." fair response onion - To be honest I thought the Crouch and Palacios signings were decent at the time and we had Europe to contend with which made them all the more understandable. I also can't see why everyone gets so up in arms about Owen but thats just me it seems. I just think Pulis deserves a lot more credit than he has had from many (not you) on here over the years and still has plenty in the bank with me.

It's really clever how people can pitch their boo's so that the players know it's not aimed at them. Which part of 'Adam and N'Zonzi were clapped off' did you not understand? No to mention the Steven N'Zonzi song that was sung for several minutes after he was subbed, which I'm sure you'd have heard if you'd been at the game The players, captain included, were as bemused as we were. I think they have the mental capacity to 'do the math'.

If you boo, you boo everyone. I've seen enough shit at Stoke and have hurled abuse at teams down the years, it's your choice but you can't pretend that booing like that is targeted, it's against the whole team.

I take it that's a no then I left when the equalizer went in. I'm not watching that shit! That's a shame, because as far as matches that involve you chasing shadows against the smallest club in the division go, it was a real humdinger.

Is there any need to resort to abusing people just because they don't share your opinion? And on your opinion about booing...if I was to make a complaint (a boo is a complaint afterall) about the manager of a store for example, because i'd paid for a poor product/service that was directly caused by that manager, does that mean I'm complaining about all the till folk, cleaners, shelf stackers etc? The fans were booing the manager because of the managers decisions, it really is that simple isn't it?

Didn't boo myself. Pointless. Booing yourself is always pointless. It's that useless capped excuse for a football manager that you should have booed!

I just think Pulis deserves a lot more credit than he has had from many (not you) on here over the years and still has plenty in the bank with me. The thing about all those signings, and others from the past couple of seasons, is that Pulis has deviated from the percentage game which served him so well in the transfer market in the past. For the best part of a decade, his transfer gambles generally paid off brilliantly. Fuller, Lawrence, Ethers, Faye etc may have semed risky signings, but it was also obvious straightaway what specific role Pulis had in mind for them, within his system. The only real risk was whether they could recapture their form performing roles they'd performed successfully in the past. The difference more recently is that, with almost all his signings, he seems to be buying first, and then wondering how to fit them in second. That means either asking them to play a role they've never played before (with predictably dire consequences), or changing his system to accommodate them (most notably Crouch). If he reverts to his former philosophy, he can steer us back on track. If he maintains his current approach, he's leaving it to chance. I'm with you on the credit in the bank thing, which is why I'm prepared to give him a bit of blind faith right now, rather than wish for him to be sacked. I don't like giving blind faith though!

It's not possible to boo in any other way. That's why it shouldn't be entered in to lightly.

I never boo, mainly cause I sound like a twat if I do! I was as pissed off as anyone last night, but I can absolutely guarantee that in Block 22 there was a HUGE amount of abuse being thrown at the players, so going back to the title of the thread, believe me, the players were copping loads! I'm not really bothered who manages our club, I just love and support the club, but it does get tedious listening to all the sub-agenda's on here, fook me, just over four weeks ago we dicked Liverpool, and everyone was wetting themselves? Back to last night, I was bemused to see us line up the way we did, but was this an effort to get Adam on the ball, and dictate the play? Either way, it was his best game for Stoke imo. I also thought that Nzonzi looked off the pace all night, and not just when he walked off? At that time, they were totally over running us in midfield, so we had to try something else imo. So, went home totally pissed off, because it felt like a defeat, but we move on, and whether we like it or not, this club is stable for a long time to come, because like in many industries, managers make decisions based on what the feel to be rational factors, and not trying to win friends and be popular, leave that to Phil Orange! Lets fookin dick Arsenal on Sat, and all this changes!
