I'm dreading Tuesday, I can see a poisonous atmosphere developing if it goes tits up.

Play his strongest 11, in their best posistions. Him and the lads showing a desire to win. No hiding away from our senior players (and I include Shawx and Huth of that lately) Crisp (by our standards) direct passing. Sound defensive play and a few crunching tackles. Back to what is good about Pulisball. That's all I ask for and if we get that, then regardless of the final result, I won't be bumping my gums. Really looking forward to Tuesday, oddly enough.

It would be nice to think the lads would get some support on Tuesday. Never mind. Agreed, let's just get behind the team and less of this counter productive Pulis out bollocks. Believe me I'm not totally happy with the style of play and the square pegs in round holes team selection but airing our displeasure on match days will not have a positive influence on the second half of the season. Blackburn anyone?

Playing a club who the fans feel we should beat... ...but they're a club who always seem to get the better of us. A run of bad form, bad performances and some bad results... ...means that frustrations are simmering to boiling point. A team selection that the fans want to see...
...but TP seems desperate to drop certain players and accommodate others. It all points to the possibility of frustrations spilling over into some serious verbal heckling of Pulis, if not the first audible 'Pulis Out' chants, should things not go our way. I think several factors will need to be present for that to occur, i.e starting Adam & Crouch, a poor performance etc, but the altering mood on here is indicating that even the fence-sitters and moderate rimmers are starting to turn. A bad result on Tuesday could be the catalyst for things to start becoming openly hostile as fans start to turn on the manager and in the process turn on each other. Of course, we've been in this position a number of times and it's always at these points when TP seems to suddenly see sense, pick something like his best side, and grind out the result that placates everyone for a while. It's a pattern we've seen repeated many, many times before. I hope he does it again because as much as I would feel relief at not having to watch the mind-numbing football and tear my hair out at the Groundhog day tactical decisions and transfers, I think a dignified exit-perhaps at the end of the season, with no ill-feeling- is the least that TP deserves. We're in a decent league position, not in any relegation trouble, but most people are now starting to see what some have been saying for a long time. The hope is disappearing, the enjoyment is being truly strangled from the matchday experience, and people are actually starting to question why we look so poor after so much money has been spent. TP and Stoke may not be desperate for points, but he could really do with earning some goodwill. Spot on again Trousers I have it on good authority that extra stewards have been employed - some will be operating covertly looking out for anti Pulis gestures and chants. This I feel is a sign of the club becoming aware of the turn in support for Pulis. All is not well at the Brit!!

Oddly enough, loads had started to turn on Pulis away at Wigan earlier this season. Loads of 'Pulis Out' shouts. Anyone shouting that shit near me on Tuesday or Saturday can expect a clout around their head. You're threatening to assault a fellow fan for shouting "Pulis out" ? I'm not sure about the speed of your Fathers sperm anymore, I think he'd have been better advised to have a vasectomy.

But are you saying the extra Stewards have been employed to eject any potential "Pulis out" protestors or just stop Shiftyfifty and his band of knuckle draggers kicking their heads in.

Check my posts, I'm 100% behind the club, and that's means the manager and players. Doesn't make me blind to what's going on though, things are very much on a tipping point at the moment, a loss on Tuesday and things could get nasty.

onion man, I agree. Can we just bring the retirement forward a year to this summer? Perhaps announced erm...tomorrow? In all seriousness I said I'd had enough of Pulisball and all the trimmings in pre-season & that's still my opinion. I'm happy to say thanks, goodbye and in years to come view TP as one of the best managers we've ever had. The problem is that even when he hits the right notes and we click as a team, I know the next act of fuckwitted meddling is only a game or two away and we're back to square one. He's still ahead now (just), and it's always best to go out while you still are and leave a positive legacy. There'd be a risk of course, but then that's part of the attraction. exactly how I feel.

I don't believe this for a minute mate. Could you imagine the media storm there would be if Stoke fans were thrown out of the Brit for venting any anger they had towards the manager? It would be far more damaging to the club and to Tony Pulis himself than the chants could ever be.

You have an irrational dislike of a bloke you don't even know and can barely conceal your delight because we (I say we, meaning Stoke) are having a bad run. I can see the problems on the pitch. As a fan, I'm hoping we can sort them out, I don't think you do.

So loads of people want TP out? I could understand it if we only played away, but we've looked ok at home, and we could still get our best top flight finish since Waddo's days.
I am in the 'frustrated with some of his actions but can't understand why we'd want him to "step aside"' camp.
Any successor would have a thankless task to improve on the current results (if not the style of play of course), I think. Pardew? Hughton? Lambert?
Two good players - a winger and a proper left back - could transform the team, and make all this seem like nonsense. But I suppose that's part of the problem with TP, we've needed them for years...

You may also escape a clip from the rough chaps when being escorted out by the stewards.
