which was the better day? I have to say it was 2000 and the Auto Windscreens Final victory over Bristol City. Great day and puts into perspective that it doesn't have to be Premier League at all costs!!

As a day out the Auto windscreen in 2000 versus Bristol City, obviously the result was better, but the main reason being we got into the Hilton after the game for a drink and a while later all the players and management turned up too. Mingled with us mere mortals and were pretty cool about everything, chatting to us and posing for photo's etc. Even got a photo holding the man of the match award (which if I remember rightly went to Kav) Fantastic couple of hours. Special mention must also go to the final against Stockport in 1992. First time watching Stoke at Wembley. Half the stadium full to the rafters the other half empty. Glorious sunny day and the young lady sat in front of me with the flimsiest of t-shirts that gave plenty of opportunity to see a fantastic pair of fun balloons

The 92 autoglass final was the first time a generation of stokies had seen their team at wembley, 20 years on from the last time. Amazing day. 2000 was a great day too but for me the two fa cup days at wembley eclipse it all. Unbelievable really. That's why i go on saturday full of hope. To get back there and experience that kind of stuff again!

The F.A. Cup Final was one of the happiest days of my life. If I'm spared Alzheimers it will stay with me forever. If I do get it, it will be the last dribbling nonsense I'll endlessly repeat to my relatives as they pray for my merciful death.

which was the better day? I have to say it was 2000 and the Auto Windscreens Final victory over Bristol City. Great day and puts into perspective that it doesn't have to be Premier League at all costs!! For a change, everybody's right. Reaching the FA Cup final for Stoke, considering the twenty-odd years of hurt that had preceded fore the club.was a staggering achievement +yes, just being there, watching Stoke contest the final of the worlds most prestigious cup competition was indeed a privilege. The Auto Windscreen final against Bristol City was a brilliant day out for all Stokies. Remarkably ,the turn out for this game was bigger than the League Cup final which followed it shortly after. And of course,we won a closely fought encounter against a good Bristol City team. However, despite all the pomp+pageantry+kudos of reaching the FA Cup final. the match itself was nothing but one long, torturous +painful experience for many Stokies. Who could forget how our brave but injury plagued team were out passed, out thought_out classed for the majority of this game ? Then the screams of 40,000 'Citeah' fans when their Ya Ya scored the winner, followed by the unedifying sight of the blue half of the ground doing' The Posnan' as we stood there+took it on the chin. On another astral plane,in another dimension of time+space,Kenwyn scored from his one on one with Joe Hart+we went on to jubilantly end decades of hurt + win the Cup. Unfortunately, the one we existed on that day, provided most Stokies with a far more cold, depressing memory. To make matters worse, every time 'Cieah's' meteoric rise to near omnipotent status is trumpeted by the media,it's always mentioned that it all started with their triumph over us that day in May 2011. I'm glad ,that for many of you, that this day,was one of pride,of achievement +satisfaction for our Club, and of course you are right. For this sad little bastard though, just thinking back to our FA Cup final appearance just makes me feel rather ill.

Everything that went with the FA Cup final - it was finally our turn to be at the centre of the biggest event in the football calendar from our childhoods, to watch Pulis lead the team out and sing Abide With Me while football fans all over the world wished it was them - gives it the edge over the other Wembley/Cardiff trips, despite the disappointing performance and result.

This is a very good question.
The Bristol City game was superb and a Sponsors deam
Two Huge lower league clubs who sold it out completely and a fantastic atmosphere
It could of been Rochdale ( we beat them in the SF ) v whoever

The autoglass trophy actually destroyed a few myths for me. i expected London (I was 11) to be this super city where everything was clean, the streets were paved with gold and Wembley was going to be the Asgard of Football Stadiums.
Instead we drove through an estate where houses had bars on the windows, and I thought the old Wembley was a shit hole.
