So a 'Stokie' is going on telly to sell a few bits and pieces, including a shield given to Sir Stanley by the people of Stoke and a Garth Crooks England shirt.
Sorry if this has been covered, I can't be arsed looking.
Anyway, is this because;
a) He wants to promote a charity (which, by the way, I think is a great cause)
b) He wants a bit of a clear out
c) He wants to get his arse in the papers and on BBC to try and revive his flagging career and make people think that 'Duel' isn't a pile of wank after all.
Interestingly enough, the auction isn't for ages and the BBC programme won't be on till 'later in the year'. And to make matters worse, the auction will be held in Derby.
What a prick.

Prong...What are you doing for this charity in contrast ...? I think it's a great charity, but it hasn't benefited from any contribution that I've made. I'm on about Hancock's motives. If anyone's interested, look up the retired greyhound trust. That's the charity I support, and against the popular wish I got a days fundraising at work sent to them. In a previous Yorkshire life I did tons for the seaman's mission and lifeboats. Hancock is just trying to get his face in the papers because he's spent a lot of his fame money on football stuff. Good lad. How about selling off some of the big items Nick?

Prong...I think you should look at your own motives first, if as you say you haven't made any contributions yet.
It isn't exactly a mainstream charity as I'm sure you will agree ,and therefore I feel you should be grateful for any help and support you get.
Whatever Hancocks motives are ....are secondary to the effort and support he has made. When you emulate his efforts, then we can judge.
