Both, I hope you enjoy watching the Brizzle game in Piscataway. I know it well. Lived in Highland Park for two years and taught in Bound Brook, while husband was lecturing in physics, at Rutgers.
You'll feel so far away from the action but not as bad as me in 1961-63. No communication technology in those days, nor any money and not one relative or friend of ours in the Potteries enjoyed the luxury of a phone!! When we returned home, we had to let our parents know the eta, by calling my father, a caretaker, at his school.
When Stoke City were promoted, I had to wait until the next morning to find out the result in the New York Times!!!!!!!!!! So don't feel too bad and I know that Joe will keep you lively.
Hope to see you again, Joe, before the Leicester match. Meanwhile continue to enjoy your vacation.

Thanks for thinking of us Monica! It'll be quirky to watch a game on a computer and it due to stokeny's kindness I'm able to. Isn't technology marvellous!!! Hopefully we'll be celebrating with a pint or two afterwards!
Hope to see you at the Leicester game too.

Hello Monica, it's a small world. I have to admit I was there in 1963 season, inside my mum! Many of my neighbours and friends are Rutgers professors/lab assistants etc and I go and watch the "American" Football team when the seasons is on. Things are going well for them and the stadium will hold 58,000 soon as it's not big enough at the moment (44,000). I think we have a lot to learn in the UK about how to do things at sporting events. You wouldn't recognise New Brunswick (unless you've been here recently of course). If you're ever over here visiting, it would be a pleasure to meet you. Maybe come for a few drinks overlooking Lake Nelson, that's if Joe hasn't drunk me out of house and home!
