Wow - did anybody just see djokovic wawrinka? Unbelievable. Once again men's tennis proving it is by far the most exciting and highest standard of any sport going right now. Wonderful match and what a last point! Djokovic is a true great.
Makes football look like a joke with the quality, effort and excitement in tennis.
Cannot wait for the latter rounds, Murray playing so well too.

I agree, the standard is frightening.

Watched all of the Djokvic match
The standard was unbelievable. Felt so sorry for the Swiss dude. He gave it absolutely everything
The Federer Tomic game on Saturday was brilliant too. Fed looked brilliant

I flicked over to the Chelsea Arsenal game during the final set and found myself turning back to the tennis after about two minutes, muttering "fucking hell football's boring."

But dframatic and intense and thrilling as the Djokovic game was there was still this feeling all along that Warwinka couldn't win it.

It won't feel like that from now on though, all matches are tough. Murray will have another easy ride probably v Chardy in the last 8 though. The other quarter finals should all be excellent - especially Federer v Tsonga (if fed gets there). And then it just gets better and better and better.

Mens tennis is just brutal these days.
Particularly over 5 sets in this tournament where the artificial surface plays so true and the heat is often sweltering.
For me these are the finest individual sportsmen in the world.
There are sports as tough, or perhaps even tougher, like road cycling and distance running but the skill element is so low in those pursuits they barely qualify as sport at all for me.
That's why you get the whole Lance Armstrong drugs thing in those sports since endurance and recovery are all. In tennis it wouldn't matter how much EPO you had coursing round your veins or how many blood transfusions you had if you are a shit tennis player you are a shit tennis player.

Murray absolutely destroyed his opponent again this morning. Lets hope Federer Tsonga goes 5 sets. It's all setting up nicely and will be a great weekend watching the final I hope!

Sounds like djokovic put in a near perfect display this morning. Ominous Murray to beat him in 5 sets again in the final? I fancy Murray to beat Federer in 4, then do Djoker in 5.

Murray v Federer will be ace. Murray will do him. Djoko's in the form of his life though. He has to win the tournament doesn't he?

Murray one set up at the moment... If you're at work and can't watch the game I'd recommend listening in to Australia Open Radio on the net. The two guys commentating on the game are barking mad and when I say commentating, I use that term loosely ;D I've got it running off the Tuneinradio app on my phone but it's online here too tunein.com/radio/Australian-Open-Radio-997-s132279/
