As you know, there is one big campaign going on in Stoke-on-Trent at the moment, one which will change the face of football in the city forever. That campaign is to get the only professional football club in Stoke-on-Trent into the Premier League. I am here to ask you all to back the bid to get Stoke to where they rightfully belong!
This coming Friday, we will be spending the evening building up to the big match tomorrow. Johnny Knackers and the team will be doing Praise and Grumble LIVE from the Directors restaurant at Delilahs! Entrance is free and Johnny will be joined in the restaurant by Nigel Sneghorn, a true Potters legend.
We will also be joined by a really special guest. You may have heard him on the rantline but now we have him in the studio. We are honoured to announce Pottymouth will be LIVE!!!!!! This is the biggest scoop in the history of the station and we are so excited! Nigel Johnson will also be there to amaze you all with his knowledge of the Potters. Don't forget though to get your calls in now.
We will of course have the usual suspects in Ian, Dumpertruck Andy and Brian from Weston Coyney. We will also have interviews with Tony Pulis, Liam Lawrence and Peter Coates. We will also try and fit in some other people as well, but that's not important!
Then on Saturday it's the big day. From noon, Den Fatgitz will be doing his show live from Delilah's bar at the Brit! We will have our roving reporters Steph (a bloke who sounds like a girl) and Phil Cantfight walking round Hanley talking to all the people there about how they are getting behind Stoke. Then we have John Acres chatting to people as they are milling around the ground about how excited they are. Finally, Stuart Georgeyporgy will be at the Clayton Hotel talking proudly about how Stoke fans will have tried to keep the Brizzle scum awake!
Then from 2, we join John for the show live from the Britannia Stadium! But best of all we have FOUR live commentaries! That's more than we've ever had before! Aren't you excited? From 3pm, Graham McGinty and Mumbling Mick will be at Norwich City as they cheer them on against West Brazil on FM. On Medium Wave join Matt Sandels and former Birmingham City winger Jon McCarthy as he is at Bramhall Lane as the might Sheffield United aim to stick a blade in the heart of the cats, Hull ****ty. Finally on DAB digital radio it's the big one as Watford take on Crystal (who the **** are) Palace, with commentary coming from our very own sex symbol Helen Thomas and Stoke legend Mark Stain. Oh and work experience boy Rob will be at Gresty Road as Crewe take on Cheltenham. We'll have occasional updates too as non-leaguers Port Fail take on Swindon Town.
Then from 5, join Johnny Knackers, Denis Smith and Nigel Johnson as the might Stoke take on the cider swiggers! Den Fatgitz will be in the Boothen End speaking to the hereos of Stoke, you fans! Then from 7 until 10, it's a really long Praise and Grumble as we celebrate what is sure to be another 3 points for the mighty Stoke!
So come on, get behind your city and back Stoke, or don't you care about the town you live in? We are BBC Radio Sjoke, impratial, independent and your number one station for Stoke erm I mean sport!
James (and the rest of the Radio Stoke branch of the Stoke City supporters club! Go arn you rip roaring Potters!! We hate Fail!!!)
Some vale fan has wrote it taking the piss out of radio stoke saying they biased towards them ( who cares about basment league football )

I think they have a point about Radio Stoke being too biased. I for one would love to hear more about their epic journey to the basement of the football league. Who wants to listen to a potential promotion campaign anyway, it's bloody boring. The real box office stuff is happening at the foot of league one. Doesn't everybody know that?

Pretty good - surely a Vale fan couldn't be so creative and tongue in cheek

If they're so pissed off about Stoke enjoying the lion's share of Radio Stoke's sports coverage, why don't they drag their arses to within three games of the Premiership. Problem solved

In fairness to the Vale, they ahve agot a lot of time on their hands, what with no footballing issues to discuss.

Did any of the soapdodgers mention the large amount of free publicity that the Vale are getting from The Sentinel with regards to their season ticket campaign?
Everyday The Sentinel keep printing articles and photographs of local businesses supporting the 5,000 campaign, a retired couple who volunteer at Vale Park, a bloke in the Navy who is based in Portsmouth that has bought a Vale season ticket etc, etc, etc.
It appears that The Sentinel will continue to keep printing this free publicity for the soapdodgers until the pledge amount is reached.
Can you imagine The Sentinel doing this much for Stoke City? I very much doubt it.
In my eyes they can not complain that BBC Radio Stoke dares to air stories about Stoke City when the local newspaper is totally biased towards Port Vale FC.
