Liam Lawrence insists Stoke's home clash with promotion rivals Bristol City this weekend is the club's most important game in over 20 years.
Just a point separates the sides ahead of the televised Britannia Stadium clash and victory for either team could prove crucial in the scramble to secure automatic promotion.
Lawrence has now urged the club's fans to turn out in force and get behind the Potters.
"I think it's the biggest game Stoke have had for about 23 years since they last went up, and definitely the biggest this season," said Lawrence, who has scored 15 goals this season.
"If we can get three points it would leave us in a fantastic position with just a few weeks to go.
"It's the biggest occasion this club and the city will see for a long, long time and we need the fans to be here getting right behind us."

Liam is a Stoke legend (in the making) of the modern era.

Surely if we need a win against Leicester to clinch an automatic promotion spot ,that will be the biggest occasion the club and the city will see for a long, long time. Or will it be a more biggest occasion?

I think pulis is just keeping bristol guessing as to whether lawrence plays or not and then he'll put him in at the last minute up til kickoff to disrupt their tactics.
