Not only does it give the armchair Man Utd fans a guaranteed live game but it also guarantees that Man Utd make more from the FA Cup competition in TV rights than any other club in the country. Still, if it helps pay down the Glaizers debt a bit more quickly who are we to argue?

Who gives a shit? Manure will always be live on the BBC or ITV because they guarantee the biggest audience. Supply and demand really. Don't get upset about it and get yourself down to Palace to watch the Potters. Strangeways should be on soon to tell us all about it! Can't believe 15 minutes has elapsed and he is yet to make an appearance in all honesty!

Its because they have the highest number of gloryhunting arm chair based fuckwits. The only way this will change is if culture changes and gloryhunting is seen by all for the parasitical behaviour that it is and it becomes fashionable instead to support a club from a town or city that you actually have a physical connection to.!

Makes me laugh that one comments states - 'It's because we're England's biggest club and more people want to watch us'
Signed off by a bloke from Barrow !

For me, it's about supporters and fans.
Supporters take an active role and/or invest in something (time as well as money)
Fans, for me, have a more casual interest.
I'm a fan of other sports, but don't follow them like Stoke

To be fair to ITV / BBC they don't have the contracts to show these teams live so they are obviously going pick the "glamour" ties which they think will pull in the most viewers.

If the Shits game was called off, they would still most likely have the cameras there showing you the empty ground.

It's to appease all the dickheads who live in Cornwall, Timbuktu, Dorset etc, hardly a glam tie is it, should of gone with a game with a chance of a giant being slayed, like Stoke at Palace.

Hello from Cornwall ! I can confirm that Cornwall`s Old Trafford Faithfull are indeed appeased by the blanket coverage of The Shite, but apparantly arn`t bothered by the Cup because they`re concentrating on the Champions League and if I hear one more `we` when listening to then droning on and on there may be violence in the pub later.

Don't tarnish all us Cornish with the same brush - I was born there but I will be at Selhurst Park at 3pm to watch the real tie of the round.
