Its likely that TP will rest some players after a hectic holiday period. Good news in a way that 2 are forced to sit out one game through suspension but surely he will choose either game to 'rotate'. Personally I hope he rests a few for the Manc game, I would love us to give a good showing there but surely the Palarse game is more important?

We are not going down so i would throw everything at the FA Cup.
We slipped up big time v Swindon in the league cup as that draw would of opened up for us

I'd be tempted to rest Cameron for City. He's almost done a full season when you include his games for Houston. Be good if he could have a couple of week to recharge. Don't want him burning out towards the end of the season

Man City are as there for the taking as they ever will be! Atleast we'll have a great chance of taking a point! Rest players at Palace for me, we need to be at it for every premier league game this season in my opinion. The cup is just a distraction to us this season.

Sort of rest players against Man City.
By that I mean select some players that are raring to go after being out of the team.
Crouch and Jerome up front. Whitehead in the middle, give Owen a run out at some point.
Don't piss about with the defence actually, if they can get a draw at White Hart Lane, there's a slim possibility of one at Man City.

Weakened team at ManCity please.
This season is now about one thing - the FA Cup.

Why is the only thing we can potentially win a distraction? Isn't football ultimately about winning things

I'd stick with the back four for Man City but play this little lot in front of them;
Palacios Whitehead Adam
Kigthly Crouch Jerome
And then back to the normal team for Palace.

Don't rest anyone.
It's not like we are in Europe and have loads of travel. We are on a great run which we should look to keep going as long as possible in all competitions.
Stay positive!

And who knows they might not? Barring Whitehead people on here would be creaming themselves over that midfield 12 months ago!

Why? I'd much rather us draw to city and palace than get spanked at city, id love to see us finish well in the prem and go on a great unbeaten run

I don't see why we'd necessarily get spanked at Man City with that side. All are experienced Premier League players and they have points to prove. Maybe sticking N'Zonzi in and then using Whitehead against Palace would be better.
Then it looks a bloody good midfield and the front three look good too.

So long as we beat Palace, I'm not bothered who plays vs Man City

I'm greedy, I want to win both. I'd like to see Crouch and Jerome at Palace but, of course that would mean Walters back on the wing.

Me too March but I think Crouch/Jerome would cause Palace a lot of problems. Not underestimating them at all but Jerome surely deserves his chance and this looks like the ideal oportunity

We really should go for our strongest team in both of these two games. I think we could get something from the citeh game this time as they seem to struggle a little bit right now. Reading almost took a point from them too! The FA cup is probably the biggest trophy this club could aim for! So it's important that our strongest 11 is sent out to do the job against a Palace side that has done well so far.

Squad game so give Crouch n co a game at Palace and hopefully keep a winning team together for Man City, Palace look half decent but there priority will be promotion, crosses fingers.

No need to rest anyone. We have played 20 games of football since May (19 in the League and Swindon in the Cup).
That is fewer than 3 games per month on average.

We are likely to lose at Citeh no matter what team we put out, being realistic, so I'd say make sure we have our strongest team (plus Tommy in goal) fit and raring to go for Palace.
Rest any who look tired and in need of a rest or who are carrying a knock for the Middle Eastlands game.
I'd go with:
Begovic
Shotton Cameron Upson Edu
Kightly Palacios Adam Whitehead Jerome
Crouch
Of those, I would then only start Kightly at Palarse, but he has not been playing 90 minutes much of late so should have plenty of gas left in the tank!
