Once we've got past the 40 mark it'd be nice to think we could match our points tally from the first 19 games in the second 19 and give ourselves an optimistic but achievable goal to aim for once we're safe come February/March time.
56 points would see us finish around 7th or 8th (based on recent history) and with a much fresher squad this year I think we've got a decent shot.

Also based on recent history, Pricey, is our tendency to finish the last third of the season like a damp squib. Only in our first season in the PL did we forge out a decent points tally and that was because we needed the points to stay up mate. Hope I am wrong ths season and we push on as you say to achieve top 10 finish. TP may be psychologically responsible for these poor finishes when he openly admits, as he did last night, that getting to 40 points is the main goal.

I do think well tail off toward the end of the season unless we buy a couple of new players in January. Great start though.

Possibility of 30 points before the turn of the year is quite a prospect, and deserved.
