That's our best overall performance since we went up in my opinion.
Kemwyne had the match of his life' we had the Walters of 2 years ago and N'Zonzi is bloody amazing.

Shawcross was the only one who looked a little off his game but everybody else was fantastic. Haven't enjoyed a game that much in a long time.

I love Pulisball ... when it's done right. Pace, power, movement up front. Walters and Jones were immense. Back to what we're good at, back to to it actually being exciting to watch, back to a bear pit atmosphere. Just picking up after the cup final season after a brief (18 month) intermission.

"STOKE 3 LIVERPOOL 1 Well you can take the mickey out of Stoke, but I have to say that this was as enjoyable and impressive a performance as I have seen in the League all season. They battered Liverpool for 90 minutes and the fitness, power, and discipline on display was mighty impressive. They also showed heart to dust themselves down after going behind to a penalty in the first minute. They just set about Liverpool like a pack of wild animals. I for one thought it was great to watch, not too much football to write home about, but a great sporting spectacle. Kenwyne Jones was magnificent, Jonathan Walters strong and skilful for his two goals, and Matthew Etherington a constant threat on the break. Great atmosphere, too. " www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/9766220/Stoke-City-v-Liverpool-live.htmlMakes you pretty proud, doesn't it?

I've said as we left the ground that we have just witnessed the best performance since promotion.
It had everything including having to come from behind after that body blow of an early goal.
Brilliant performances throughout the team with a special mention for the forwards who defended from the front superbly and stifled Rodger's airy fairy tactics. This brings me onto the gaffer who basically owned Liverpool's media darling, manager.
Tactically, Tone made Rodgers look like a novice and the self-loving egotist had no answer to it with his team having to resort to pretty triangles by their own corner flags.
Simply stunning, Stoke.
Very, very proud.

It was only Liverpool. I think it was a Liverpool who would have beaten anyone outside the top 5 or 6 if it wasn't us they were playing.

What did the 3-1 wins vs the Arseholes, the 4-0 vs Newcastle, the 5-0 vs Bolton and tonight have in common??
That's right; KJ and SJW up front.

What the fuck do these journalists do at the ground? They clearly don't watch the match, probably take a mirror into the toilets and wank themselves into a frenzy at the reflection, then just make up a match report.

Yep, that's it The team out tonight is our best team, and one of the best sides Stoke City have ever had. I just don't know what will now happen with Adam and Crouch, Adam especially just isn't right for us, and although Crouch is a great player, he can't offer what Jones does

"Today, for the first time I'm ready to admit we are a mid table team. For years I thought we just need some luck, we have quality, results will come. I slated anyone saying we need to spend huge. Now I see I'm wrong. We need to spend this January and next summer and remake the whole team. £250-£300 mil otherwise what are we doing. Like this we are 6th at best and 10th at worst. I'm interested in neither. If I were I'd be supporting Everton. Manager fail, players fail, owners fail. The club should start refunding travel and ticket costs to traveling fans. Sickening. We got beat by Aston Vila at Anfield. Chelsea and Spurs put 12 behind them with a clean sheet. We are shit, total shit."

Lord knows what has been going through his head for the last 18 months in the transfer market - he's far from being perfect, as the signings of Crouch, Adam and Owen all demonstrate. I'm just glad we're back on track - long may it continue.

Quote from: Brentie on Today at 10:03:15 PM That one's totally on Rodgers.
4 times already this season he's seen out center back pairing get dominated by a target man.
Long, Fellaini, Benteke and even Carlton fucking Cole have had Agger and Skrtel for breakfast.
He comes to Stoke and decides to go for the same center back pairing, even though the ONLY attacking strategy Stoke fucking have is hitting the ball long to to their target man.
Low and behold, that target man dominates our center backs and we concede 3 goals.
Meanwhile, we have an absolute beast in the air in Sebastien Coates on the bench, who is made for games like this. And there he is kicking his heels on the bench, as Agger and Skrtel get dominated by Kenwyne fucking Jones.
Well done Brendan.
It's absolute amateur hour. What is the fucking point of having a squad of players if you dont use certain players who have specific strengths for games where those strengths will be needed? It makes no sense at all.
And then, to top it all off, he puts on Joe "Our Impact Sub" Cole on 75 minutes. Yet again. And the Cockney Messi loses the ball with his first touch. Yet again.
Really want to be convinced by the manager but at the moment he looks exactly what he and the team is: Inexperienced, one dimensional, clueless on how to formulate an attacking strategy, naive and ridden with mistakes.
Managers are there to give you that little bit extra, to make you win a few points you wouldnt win without them. Today, again, Rodgers cost us points.
And anyone bleating on about time can do one as far as Im concerned. You dont years as manager of Liverpool to figure out it may be a good idea to play your one defender that's fantastic in the air at the expense of 1 of the 2 that always get killed by target men. It's management 10 fucking 1.
BWAH!
Sacked in the more etc etc...!
