Why is it that some people can not take a balanced view of the situation. How about the facts that AGAIN we are one of the worst scorers /attackers in the league... what about the fact that TP continually plays mis firing players and refuses to buy players that are needed and play them in there correct position... how about the fact that we play atrocious foitball alot of the time. some of us arent fortunate enough to be able to spend hundreds of pounds following stoke (which i used to) some have commitments that are more important but at the moment it is a blessing in disguise i want to see my team play at the highest level for the rest of my life but I also want entertainment for my money. I agree with a lot of your comments but the football has not been atrocious this season. There's definately been an improvement in quality to what we had to endure last year. Ok fish a lot of the time is probably a hyperbole but at times it has been

Ok fish a lot of the time is probably a hyperbole but at times it has been Wigan was the best away performance in a long time. I was hoping for more performances like that, rather than returning to type (Villa).

Nett-spend should be calculated over the life of the Premier League.
To limit it to the last 5 years is stupid.
The clubs who have been in the top flight for 20 years have had 20 years of spending big money to put together expensive squads - squads that were already in place when we joined them in the big league.
Of course we have had to spend a lot of money just to get anywhere near where they already were.
And anyone who thinks we have a nett-spend of £100 million is a fantasist and completely disagrees with Coates' own statements.

meanwhile we are still mid table in the wages league (if not bottom half) To be honest, I think we are mid-table in most areas of the club. Not bad, really.
