Never heard this one but it pleases me! My source for this info was a newspaper supplement interview with him about 20 years ago. There was a caricature of him wearing a Stoke shirt, and he claimed he had been a fan since boyhood and that the club played a big part in his life.

Owais Shah (cricketer) had Stoke as his club on his Twenty20 profile I recall... I was going to mention him. It comes from years of playing cricket with Alan Richardson I think. He's a massive Stoke fan and must have bored Owais into submission! ;D

Where've you heard this? He wears Stoke City cuff links in Skyfall. Could be part of the character though, with him being an evil super villain. Perhaps aligning himself with the most hated and evil side in the Premiership

Must be someone on the crew who's a Stokie.
If we find out who, he can go on the list ;D

Peter Vaughan, character actor (Gricey, the Mr Big in Porridge) is a Salopian and Stoke fan. I think he's still alive, but he's getting on a bit. His name was forking Grouty!!!

Frank Bough was from Stoke but moved to Shrewsbury when young, did support Stoke as a lad, but worked for the BBC in the North East, and transferred his loyalty to Sunderland. It has been on before, Julian Clarey is not a Stoke fan, it still crops up on the internet, but is not true. Bough moved to Oswestry not Shrewsbury

Whats that American bloke called? Morgan Sperlock? He picked us out of a hat on Soccer AM didn't he? Then promptly went home and started watching loads of our games, if my memory is right.

Isn't Cronje the New Zealand cricketer one? Cronje was South African and is very much dead. Fleming is the ex-Kiwi captain who is a Stokie.
