So Jones is quicker than Jerome? That very well may be true; we've never seen the evidence during both their respective times at Stoke mind. Based on what we've seen at Stoke, I would have thought that Jerome was quicker. I guess that the articles I referred to above need to be taken with a (very large) pinch of salt! probably the only way to settle it would be a 100m sprint between them although i suspect Jerome would complain that someone was holding onto him and go off whinging and KJ would give up and shrug his shoulders after 15 metres

I guess.... shame, though - Jerome's done OK when called upon (lack of match fitness notwithstanding).

Should have had a proper run in the side last season.

Should have had a proper run in the side last season. Agreed. There was a lot of disquiet last season about Walters' performances and, to be fair to "Super Jon", he was over-used and it clearly had an effect. The opportunity to rotate the squad was there. I think the same can be said of this season. Crouch and Walters look tired (IMHO).

Maybe Jones is quick, but as has been said, we rarely get to see it, cos half the time he can't be arsed!
As for Jerome, I don't think he has ever been given an extended run in the side, and hasn't had a decent chance to show us his ability (or lack of). But, Tone works with him everyday, so will know more about his ability than us.

Crouch win everything in defence and was a handful up front. Well plated crouchie. Jones your time will come Peter Crouch's form over the last 3 or 4 games has made Mama Sidibe look like a really big loss to our first team. Utter nonsense Roy and you know it. However not the most ridiculous thing on this thread. That goes to whoever it was who said we miss Kenwyne chasing down goalkeepers! Oh yeah, good old 'lost cause KJ' ;D

Pulis said as much the other day, Rob. Is our strikeforce so potent and varied that we can offload ANY of them?

Is our strikeforce so potent and varied that we can offload ANY of them? I'd be tempted to just write the Owen experiment off altogether to be honest, but he won't do that. I don't buy the 'Jerome is lazy' argument. That certainly wasn't his rep at Birmingham and in Europe he put in an almighty shift for us on a number of occasions despite often being out of position.

Sorry mate but it wasn't woeful. It would have had to have been a hell of a lot better to have been woeful. It was you daft fuckers booing, anti Pulis chanting and fighting that turned it around. Maybe you should be the next managers Utter nonsense sheik. I've never booed anyone representing SCFC; have you?
